    Let me know who to send my details to, what the requirements are, does it have to be your local brewery or just not their local?

    How could you possibly know what the recipient has or hasn't drunk in the past?

    I'm in my 50's, probably tried in excess of 500 beers over nearly 40 years and couldn't even make an attempt to list them, so what are the chances of me buying something new for someone I've never met? :confused:

    Well it's hoping that they're beer list is reasonably up to date
    & basically sending something you would be pleased to receive yourself
    We have 3 Scottish participants & 3 English & I think that's how it is going to be split
    so local should hopefully translate as regional and pretty much anything north of the border for you

    @Kozel, I think everyone's in the same boat, but it's all in good spirit. I don't think anyone would be bitter if they ended up getting a beer they already had. Given that it's 3 bottles, hopefully everyone will get something new and / or something they like!

    Are we saying no drinking until Christmas day?

    One other thing you may wish to stipulate is preffered styles of beer.

    I personally wouldn't want to end up with 4% goldes or bitters.

    Might be worth you listing preferred styles or even styles you'd rather not get, this is common practice in other secret Santas I've seen organised.

    I really doubt anyone ie going to send 3 golden bitters
    I should imagine with the stipulations it wouldn't happen

    But we might as well vocalise anything we would hate to get here to avoid any disappointment

    I hate peanuts and honey and don't think I would enjoy a beer with those ingredients

    I could just hold off drinking it to Christmas but no way could wait to see what I got
