Just went there. They're out of Whiskey Rodeo... AND they'll only let you buy one or the other of what's left. Ugh.

Regretting the purchase of the Lost Abbey Teku glasses this morning (who am I kidding, those glasses look cool as fuck). I'll swing by the Fort Worth spots tonight and report back.

Cool. We should see it down south soon. South Lamar Wine & Spirits is usually really good at getting stuff quickly.

Im almost afraid to see/hear what the Whiskey Rodeo cost after reading this...

"Jester King thinks this beer could be the most expensive sold in Texas… or another, it means that the whiskey barrel aged version, which we’re calling “Whiskey Rodeo” is now going to be the most ludicrously expensive beer ever sold in the State of Texas, and this initial batch of non whiskey barrel aged Whiskey Rodeo will be a little less so. Seriously, if you’re thinking of buying a bottle of Whiskey Rodeo, start saving now. Kopi Luwak costs over $200/lb (as compared with Legendee which costs a mere $35/lb). "

Just bought this at South Lamar Wine & Spirits...

    Prices...

    Bonnie - $12.99
    Weasel Rodeo - $16.99
    Whiskey Barrell Rodeo - $19.99

Keep in mind that $20 ... IS the highest I've ever paid for a Texas craft beer. So they were right. It's just not Stuffed-in-a-Squirrel expensive.

$20 isn't too bad for a 12% BA Stout in a 750ml bottle. That's about right per other bigger breweries around the country.

Damn this is going to be an expensive month with this and Black Tuesday on the RS website.

this is probably irrelevant to most, but if by a slim chance anyone else lives in podunk temple, our specs just got in boxers, drink'n, and positive contact

I'm not inclined to go to SL W&S any more except as a last resort. They're easily the most expensive beer shop of the handful I visit. Boxer's Revenge, for instance: $14.99 at Central Market, $16.99 at SL. And not so long ago I came out of there having spent $62... on four bottles. There was a Ruination 10th Anniversary, a SN Brux and an Avery Uncle Jacob's in there, and UJ's is a 12oz! I don't recall what the other one was (I know it was a 22oz/750) and I didn't even get a receipt so I could check the prices.

Last time I was in there was for DR12. I bought two 12oz bottles which came to $7-something, which I believe is about half the price most of you guys were paying for a six-pack so I got two bottles for the price of three. Then I noticed some Boxer's on the shelf and bought one (one bottle limit) and suddenly my total was north of $24. Didn't get a receipt that time either.

I just like it because it's around the corner from my place, the guys are knowledgeable, and I don't have to walk for 5 minutes back and forth inside a grocery store to get to the beer and wait for the beer guy, who is hiding all the good stuff in the back, to get done explaining which Blue Moon variant would go best with the snapper they just bought.

Spec's on S. Mason Rd. in Katy has Boxer's (1/2 case on shelf), Drink'in the Sun (1 case on shelf), and Positive Contact 1/2 case on cooler). Beer guy knew nothing of Bonnie, but seeing as they got Boxers and Drink'in the Sun today they may get it next week.

East 1st Grocery in Austin (Cesar Chavez / Chicon) has both Weasel Rodeo and Barrell Rodeo. No Bonnie. I got a bottle of each and it costs right at $40
