BCBS Black Friday - Chicago Suburbs

What's the deal with the foremost Liquors chain? I'd assume they are all connected but they seem as if they all run independently and only share the name. The foremost in Arlington heights seems pretty well run and into quality craft beer

 

I heard that Arlington Heights Marianos hit today.

 

Park Ridge Marianos had it behind the counter, 2 bottle limit, $10.99. They did not get a lot.

 

Did they? Was there this morning and they said they got it and not selling it today.

 

Just what I was told when someone took my call at the service desk. Ran late at work today so couldn't stop. Any other marianos get any?

 

I got there at 7:15 and probably was somewhere between 150-180. I'm thinking based on the announcements of being out of stuff, that they had 3 cases of Rare, maybe 6 of Prop, 10 of Regal, and 12 of Coffee. They ran out of Coffee just before I hit the table. It took until 10:30 to get checked out with on only 2 regular and a BW. There was plenty of regular left. I bet they did not run out until after 1:00. There are a lot better places to go if you are just looking for regular.

Does anyone how if/how Schaefers in Skokie released? I just moved up here.

 

In 2013 they had a list for existing customers only. I was able to get 2 coffees that year but that was it. I didn't try in 2014 as I no longer lived around there, but I am guessing it was the same system this year too. Just start shopping there this year and get their rewards card or whatever so you can try next year.

 

Palatine Marianos was suppose to release at 10am today. But somehow all sold out before that. Joke

 

Yeah this place has been pretty solid in years past. Sucks they are now gouging

 

More shipments going out today for mom and pop liquor stores

I just stopped at four while I was out and they all had regular, all had limits of 1 and prices went from 12.99 to 25.99.

I picked up 1 more bottle. Not paying anything over 15.

 

Northbrook Marianos had 3 cases of regular today. Limit 1 per person. Only 4 left.

 

"Before you go" Liqours, on the corner of Elston and Fullerton has 2014 proprietors. 70 bucks a pop.

I went in looking for coffee. No dice.

 

Honestly, given that many places were charging $40/50 last year, $70 isn't awful. I wouldn't do it, but it's not awful. For what it's worth, "Before you go" had Prop like 3 or 4 times last year, and initially priced them in the $20s. Once they realized how insane the demand was, they jacked up the price each successive time.

 

No no... It's awful.

 

Also, Clybourn Market on Clybourn and Damen has 2015 Prop for 39 each.
Had to do it.

Anybody still looking for stout would be wise to swing by Meijer tomorrow at 0800. I'm told at least 25 cases per store, 2 bottle limit, you have to ask for it, and they aren't going to police it if you drop off in your car and come back for more. $9.99 per pop. At least the Bolingbrook stores have twice that amount and it is already on hand. A couple of cases got away yesterday....I wouldn't want to be the employees or ex-employees responsible. A lot of people were coming in yesterday because the person that got a case posted on some board.

 

Apparently it's gone, I just sent a buddy there. They have Regal Rye for $40.
