Bruery 2015 RS/HS Allocations

So something I haven't seen clarification on. Will the 2015 hydroflask AND 2016 howler be able to be filled going forward or just the current year's growler @mattolesh ?

 

Pretty sure I read that only 2016 can be filled with special fills, but the 2015 can be filled with anything available in the standard 2L format. Kind of shitty, but I understand.

 

That would be a big disappointment if The Bruery is requiring us to buy a new growler for 2016 fills.

I selected the bag and I am thinking about getting the new growler. But if it is required, I may just give up on growler fills altogether.

It just seems unreasonable not to fill your own branded growler.

 

I can understand that, if you were a member in 2015 it shouldn't entitle you to 2016 special fills (not that there have been that many worth fighting over). I can see if you have the 2015 growler and your the named member in 2016 though.

Went Howler as the Hydroflask was really hit or miss with anything carbed. Actually hoping I can buy a second Howler since so many are going with the bag.

 

Why wouldn't they fill it if you gave them a 2015 growler but also had your 2016 membership card? Even if you forgot your card, they can look you up in the system. Not in the system, no members only growler fill for you! Seems simple to me.

I would even be OK with you need your 2016 membership card to get 2015 growler filled.

But no fills period, seems a bit extreme.

 

So who else cancelled Preservation because of the Modern Times League?

 

You guys have some pretty weird growler rules. It would be damn silly if they don't fill their own growlers.

 

Counterpoint - allowing people to use multiple years of growlers to get special fills just means that any good beer that's allowed for special fills will move that much faster. There's a balancing point, and allowing people to fill past years' growlers would throw that balance off.

They haven't done a great job with providing RS/HS exclusive fills this year anyway, even after giving us growlers and making a big deal out of it, so I'm not sure why people are so worried about it.

 

Huh? If you are a member, you should be able to fill your growler, regardless of what year it is from. What difference does the growler make? If they want to limit growler fills to 1 per person per day, that would be a solution to the issue you present.

Yeah, there are a lot of various solutions and every single one is going to cause some portion of their customers to bitch incessantly about it. I think only allowing RS and HS exclusive fills in the current year's growler is pretty reasonable when you consider the various factors going into the decision, but maybe other people are more hard up for fills of Melange 11 and Gypsy Tart than me...
