Yes it does! Radio Lab plus Casey beer is a great combo!

I'll also add my late "I'm in!" reply for Casey's EF.

And my avatar is happy too. There's a smile under the ninja mask. Ninja Fact: All ninjas are smiling underneath their masks. And it must be true cuz I heard it on the ninja episode of Radio Lab! :grinning:

Having my first Casey brew, only half I guess  it's the colab with Aspen Brewing Co., the Biere De Garde. This is a totally different take on the style, but it is very tasty though, and I did rate it for what it is, and not what it is classed under, and that is how I review all my beers. Looking forward to trying the East Bank bottle.

    Cheers!

Not trying to be provocative, but outside of the Cuts ... I honestly think Casey beers are insanely over-hyped. They are weak / watery, boring and generally off ... Every single time. I buy them to trade. Cuts are good; I get that they're hard to get but I genuinely don't get it. Anyone who would take any of his saisons and blind taste it next to even a local Funkwerks would be kidding themselves to put them in the same category. I know this will send people into fits -- but I really don't think his stuff is anything close to remarkable. My tasting group had drain poured more of his stuff than anything else we've opened from any other brewery (hi Low End / East Bank / Brett Loves Citra) ... Post over. Hype train chug along

Oh I know. Indeed. People love driving 5 hours to out of the way breweries and then losing their minds as the brewer being the return of the Messiah (hi Pseudo Sue!!) :-) more for you all :-)

Was this in a bottle from Aspen or from casey? The Aspen one is capped. The Casey one is corked and caged.

You gotta get on the Casey version, it's a completely different beer.

As it was said, to each their own. Personally, I disagree with literally every single aspect of your take on Casey beers.

Yeah, what is done after the brewing process is what makes his beers special.

So much this... I respect that everyone has their own opinion, and most of the time I can even acknowledge some finer points in a disagreement, but DAMN, I can't even imagine such vitriol aimed at Casey from ANYONE.

As Kanye would say, Imma let you finish...

In fact, I don't disagree with you with regard to many of the Fruit Stand series...they are a touch thin. And the dry hopped beers that I have had from Casey, while good, are not superior to also-excellent dry hopped efforts from Crooked Stave.

However, I gotta disagree with you on Saison, East Bank, Brett Loves, and Casey Family Preserve series. Those beers are damn good with East Bank being one of my favorite beers ever.

Not vitriol at all - just think these guys are hyped to the moon and back. Glad everyone loves them - I've had a beer or two in my day and I think I share similar palates with many on here. I've had most of what they've put out - the heavily fruited beers (cut and family preserve) are solid - the rest to me (and many others drinking blind) are weak and meh. There are a lot of factors that influence fanboys and girls -- cool ass brewer, very limited stuff, James Joycean epic journey to acquire their brews, beautiful scenery and on and on ... Not saying that's the case here ;-) but it'd be interesting to see what some non-homers think if they drink his stuff side by side against established tier one brews by style :-) it's all good but just exhausting to read the mania all the time ...
