Well I didn't touch the wrapping paper. I figured if I did eventually I'll get popped for NCAA violations just like everyone else that's ever been associated with Cal.

 

Just a hunch it may have to do with this.....

Wait, so am I. I'm only aware of one box outstanding, and it should be traveling southwest. I think I'm being setup. Check its origin and I bet it's not Enola, PA.

 

Last night ended in such a way (read: drunkenly) that I wasn't able to post this then, but I in fact was able to finish off my belated 6 Days bottles... I already posted Day 5 (mistakenly labeled as Day 4), the Cantillon Iris. Then I had my parents over for dinner (bratwurst, knackwurst, spaetzle, and saurkraut) and proceeded to get my dad drunk.

First we drank Day 6, a very unique, very interesting beer from Country Boy Brewing, Barreled Hale's Bales Gruit Ale, a rum barrel-aged gruit, of all strange things. The sticker is a little hard to read, but in addition to the rum barrel, this beer was brewed with juniper berries, rosemary, and lemon balm, and presumably (based on the style) without any hops at all.


Then we moved on to Day 4, Evil Twin's Cognac Jesus, drank side-by-side with Even More Jesus and Aun Mas a Jesus. Even More Jesus was fudgey both in flavor and how rich (damn near "gooey") it was, with some coffee flavor in the background; Aun Mas a Jesus was a little less viscous, and a lot of the fudgey chocolate was replaced by very dark roasted coffee flavor, I'd swear this was made with coffee in the recipe; Cognac Jesus was very different from the non-barrel versions, slightly tart and a bit vinuous, with the chocolate and coffee toned way down.


Despite my drunken state, I was able to take a kill shot of the 6 bottles, quite an eclectic mix when looked at together:

I will take some of the heat off of you for the cognac jesus. You mentioned opening it several times, and I requested we open the BBBM and then left shortly after that.

 

Unless I am totally misreading FedEx, it says that I shipped a box to you on Saturday afternoon and it'll be delivered tomorrow...

 

Had forgotten about this. Mea culpa.

My family left around 9:30am and it's about an 8 hour drive. They took an entire hour lunch on their way and arrived at 5:55pm making this guy another winner.

Next question will be coming quickly.

 

My whole family went bowling thanksgiving night, we bowled two games each. What was my combined score?

In other news, for those keeping track at home, I officially have a start date for a new job, with a division of IBM. I start on December 14th, selling a mobility software solution.

 

Wondering if the box you sent me with the Night Shift got reused and the label came off? I've only sent two boxes this week. Rob got one yesterday via UPS and one is on truck for delivery today. Color me confused.
