It sure seems that way. I feel like a lot of the times that I am there someone is on break and they have a person from the meat counter covering for them. Aka a person who is uber efficient with growler fills and bar tending!

 

And to be fair, it wasn't the complaint about the prices that made me react, it was that you used the same tired lube joke again.

 

Attempt #4 to contact GEMDWW, still no success.

 

I respect that you even responded. Apparently thats not something that alot of establishments feel obligated to do regardless of being criticized or simply questioned..

 

This is to the level of comical. They are probably busy trying to figure out new "stash" places in the walk in for more bottles of Penn Tuxedo.

 

Some of them don't even answer the phone.

 

I'm in Swissvale, and the 20 min it's been taking me to get to Lawrenceville has really been tilting me lately.

 

For all its stocking deficiencies, GEMDSH does transfer to "beer" when I ask. But when I call it's usually for updated draft list--so I can determine if I'm hitting up GEMDSH or GEMDX, so when I last called GEMDSH and asked for the drafts, the person responded: all of them? And I said: yes, please.

But I really wanted to be like: Yeah, there are like five. Take a deep breath and let's Thelma and Louise this thing together, pal.

Edit: I make it a point to not call when I think they may be busy, and try to politely suggest they attempt some sort of social media presence when I'm (frequently) buying their wares. Neither location is on-the-way enough to just go and check out the list every time I'm thirsty.

 

I would argue that all malls in America tie for the saddest mall in America.

He is probably living in the mall. Speaking of that mall, I kind of feel the same way as the person who wrote the article. I used to go to Century III mall all the time with my family when I was younger, and I used to think it was so cool that it had 3 floors. It did used to be extremely busy all the time, sad to see what its become. Maybe they should open up a bottle shop inside of it, that would get people to the mall

 

Maybe "minutes from the mall" is the only phrase he can say now, and he repeats it over and over, like it's his last play in Cards Against Humanity. Beer anywhere is good, but I don't think it's enough to pull the CIII outta its death throes.

 

That mall really went down hill once the bus line hit. I am shocked that Monroeville hasn't suffered the way that mall has with the shooting and stuff.

Just in case any of you mall rats are interested, Costco sells a pack of Fat Heads gift cards, $100 worth (four $25 cards) for a cool 80 bucks! And I think they do year round. Hope it's not too late to update those Xmas lists. I'm pretty sure they can be used on everything, food, beer, growler fills, 6 packs to go, etc.

Just think, next time you're having a half-off happy hour draft, you could be saving another 20%
