Wow. Now I am curious how many tickets they will sell, and if they will have enough for 8 per person (and 12 for el cats)

Yes, I know not all people will max out their bottle potential but you'd think they would have to have enough on hand just in case right?

I'm assuming that within each tier they have a set amount of tickets, so not everybody will get 8.

Once they know how many El Catador members buy tickets and their bottle allotment, I imagine they will have a better idea how many bottles remain and go from there. Last year supposedly only about half of El Cat members bought ticket to Hunaphu's Day.

UGH no bottle shares. Not a real glass taster. This is horseshit.

In all seriousness, please make the tote bags stronger than last year. One of my straps ripped almost immediately.

They were able to brew up the "make good" batch pretty quickly last year...so I'm assuming they will have a cap on this and can adjust if needed.

No glass sucks, was looking forward to a good glass for the event, but hey, plastic is great when you've been over served no?

I'm waiting to see when tickets are infact on sale, and.... how many people they want to allow in. Not looking for a shit-show.

Trying to plan a Spring Break trip with my roommate to go to Huna Day next year. When do tickets typically go on sale, and how fast do they go?

Love the 8 bottle option- but at this point I really just want to hear how many tickets will be sold...

I'd really REALLY like for CCB to look into a DD ticket option. I'm gonna be absolutely obliterated at the end of the day and I don't wanna drive all the way back to my Disney resort. (our anniversary is the day after Huna day, Disney vacation). She's not into beer and I don't need the extra bottles so another $200 is kinda rough.

For those who are lacking in the math department:

    Beerfest/food/bag/plastic = $100
    Bottles = $25

It pains me to say this but I may skip this year.

I've been to the last 3 Hunahpu Days and really enjoyed the first two I was able to go with my wife.

Last year I went alone because of cost and not being able to get a ticket for her anyway.

I had fun tasting so many great beers but it wasn't the same alone and it really was more about the Hunahpu to take home and less about the beer festival for me.

This year with the rumored Catador ticket sale on Christmas Eve and the apparent challeges with parking at the new site I just don't know anymore.

The other thing at play here for me is that now I just know about so much more good beer around Florida than I did when I lined up for hours 3 years ago for those bottles of Hunahpu.

Hope I don't get flamed for rambling about my thoughts on the subject.

Completely understand you not wanting to go, especially alone.

For anyone else worrying about parking though.

The location is near the Tampa Convention center which should be able to cover all parking woes. If not, the lots for the St.Petersburg Times Forum will surely do the trick. Both are a very short walk away.
