From the Email about choosing your merchandise:
Don’t worry - if you want both, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase an additional item in 2016 (both items will have the same retail price).

As someone who never gets fills and chose the bag I support this logic.

Instead of bitching of the growler, we should be bitching about the lack of good fills.
Last year I used my blank 64oz a crapload of timse for mash/coconut.
This year was crap for fills. The only fill I got this year was hot mango.
Bring back mash & coconut for fills!

Sailor Jerry does alright in L'deracola but it still isn't a very good beer.

Also I went with the bag. I'll probably snag the growler later on down the line.

So far for 2016 memberships we have Preservation members who will be Reserve members in 2016 complaining they can't buy Reserve beers now even though they aren't members until 2016. Now Reserve members complaining that The Bruery has decided to do a new growler each year for the exclusive fills. Are the Hoarders also complaining about this or do they have something else they'd like to complain about.

The hoarders are at the top of the totem pole.
We are looking down at the rs/ps while drinking bt reserve.
we let the rs bitch for us.

    Ohh yeah exclusive fills?
They said that shit in last years emails about this year's fills..and??

    Nothing:slight_frown:

I think they should have a charity drive for PS members and let them have all the RS/HS growlers from 2015 and give them unlimited Smoking Wood fills for 2016 in those growlers.

THIS. I have never understood people getting pissed that they can't buy something with a membership that hasn't even started yet. It's not as bad on here, but on Facebook the amount of PS members who are crying because they can't start buying beers now is just mind boggling.

Chocolate Salty BBLS will be awesome--diabeetus and heart disease all in one convenient bottle!

As an out of stater I don't have a dog in the growler fight. I still want the 16 growler because I'm a merch ***** though. I really wish I could have gotten the tulips they were including in the BA Christmas beer pack without buying the beers too since I already have plenty:slight_frown:.

I can see both sides but at the same time the hydro flask was included merch with your 2015 membership. Why would you expect for the exclusive fill benefit to carry over when none of your other membership perks from previous years do? If you want exclusive growler fills then get the damn growler and if you don't then get the bag for free. It isn't that complicated and you can pay for either down the line if you can't live without it. It's like people wanted something to bitch about for RS next year before the new year even started. I mean shit, they gave us the ability to pick our free merch and the option to buy the other one later and people still found a reason to bitch.

Chocolate salty has me way intrigued! Just tried regal rye and that did a good use of salt, hopefully it's that way and not overboard

I've generally been a believer in the big beers - BT and Anniversary variants - surviving fine for a couple days, but being best on the first day and a bit less great each successive day. However, I'm finishing a bottle of Blue BBLs that I opened on Monday night and 48 hours has dulled the acidity while leaving a lot of the sour and fruit flavors intact, and it's a far more pleasant drink than it was on Monday. I know some people are believers that the BT variants actually get better after 24 - 48 hours, but this is the first time I've actually experienced it.

Now back to your regularly scheduled bitching about growlers...

I love that both mystery beers might possibly have been revealed, yet 95% of the conversation is a debate about growler fill entitlement.

If the Bruery ever announces a BT variant aged in Grand Marnier barrels, I hope we all focus on the marginally uncomfortable seating in the tasting room.

One time while I was there, they ran out of flight sheets and I had to wait three minutes for them to print more up.

I wasn't sure how to proceed so I smeared my own feces on the bathroom wall in a tearful rage. In hindsight, I still believe it was the right thing to do.

I wonder how many of the people who are complaining actually tried to contact The Bruery to let their preferences be known, rather than just griping on a beer forum.

Unless something changed very recently, only one mystery beer has been revealed. Haven't seen the Terreux beer posted yet - not Walrus Blend.
