Hence the "might possibly," not "most definitely."

The water spot, the paint or the car?

Even more off topic, since it will help keep the growler pain to a minimum. Had a Marron and ISO two nights ago, they're both holding up, bright carbonation, sour, oak, but the fruits in the ISO were gone. They tasted like the exact same beer. So on the fruited sour argument, not all of them hold as well as others. Still enjoyed it though.

Has anyone cracked the 2009 Oude Tart? I was curious on how it taste now. I know back in the forum ppl discussed how 2012 was tasting and it was mixed bag of reviews.

It depends on the fruit being used as well. "Stronger" fruits like cherries, raspberries, cranberries, etc. tend to hold up to prolonged aging. While "lighter" fruits like guava, mango, and pretty much any stone fruit won't hold up as well. There is a reason why traditional lambic beers are commonly aged with sour cherries, raspberries, blackcurrents, etc.

Although, I have had beers before that after a few years of aging you could still taste the peaches, and ones where the raspberries had dropped off completely.

I just picked up my 2015 bottles, and thinking about doing a full vertical sometime soon (fyi the first release was January 2010). I will post the results when it happens.

I had it at the tasting room last year for one of the drives and it was awesome

has anybody else ever drank an Arrrggghhh and picked up on a cherry flavor? I'm not saying this beer tastes off but a sour cherry IPL is kind of an interesting thing bujt maybe my palate is off. Sorry to deviate from the bitching about growlers.

Just noticed that 5 Rings is up on the store. Wonder if 7 Swans will be up soon. Wouldn't mind grabbing a couple more.

I am a believer that a few of their "bigger" offerings are as good or possibly a bit better on the second night. I also am a believer that Blue BBLs in particular has been better on the second night every time I have had it, so we are in the same boat there.

Regarding the growlers debate: I have been using my 2015 growler primarily to drink uncarbonated water at my desk in Minnesota. Could we please re-focus the discussion to better understand the impact that the 2016 growler-fill policy might have in my unique situation, so that I can feel confident I am making the correct merch decision? Thanks.

I'd say it sounds like the only thing they really messed up was not telling people that you can't get specialty fills with the 2015 growler beforehand. I think it makes sense not to let people fill both; hell, Modern Times is doing the same thing with their League, and their initial membership is a fraction of where it stands currently. Even if it were one fill per visit, the REALLY good fills would get plenty of people coming two days in a row to double dip, and those are the beers you want to last the longest. And even if the outcome is exclusion from growler fills, it makes sense to offer the bag as an alternative; there are plenty of members across the country who have no use for the growler, but could find a use for a bag.

In my opinion (as someone who has no sort of membership with The Bruery) they should probably just send out an email making it clear that the 2016 growler is required for special fills in 2016, and that if any one wants to change their mind about their choice they should reply via email.

Also, in my opinion, still allowing regular fills with the 2015 growler is pretty rad. Can you really complain that much about having another Berazzled vessel?

Yes. That, or I missed when they stopped doing fills of it. If they have, they could certainly make a few people happy by putting it on as a consolation fill

Hell they could make me happy just putting Berazzled on tap again - seriously when was the last time they had it in the tasting room? I can usually drag my wife over there about once a month and every time without fail she'll say "They'd better have Berazzled."….it's been a while since that has worked out.

    Still complaining about growler fills.......

Why isn't that HS beer available for RS?

When does PS get to buy HS beers?

When does my head come out of my Ass?

On my last 2oz' of a 2014 White Chocolate Bottle and its still tasting/drinking fine!

I thought it was too heavy on the vanilla and tasted like an amped up sourento. I didn't really like it but maybe that is what the cocktail tastes like and they nailed it.

I don't think Imperial Cabinet was too heavy on the vanilla. I think it tasted very, very close to the cocktail. It was a pleasant surprise for me because I didn't expect to like it.

I'm a big fan of Imperial Cabinet, surprised it doesn't get more love. I'd stock up if I wasn't trying to be more reasonable with my beer purchases
