Reminds me of a game I had when I was younger called Hero's Quest. It was the first non-kid board game I ever played and my neighbors and I became obsessed with it.

I remember Hero's Quest - it was kind of a more accessible RPG, marketed to a broader audience. It's the one game like that I was able to get my family into.

Reminds me of, um, Penn Pilsner.

I'm thinking of buying the connoisseur ticket for Pittsburgh winter beerfest. Anyone have experience with this? When they say rare, what are some examples from previous years? I'm mostly interested in barrel aged stuff.

It's amazing to me that some of you have managed to procreate. Nerds.

Its a pretty fun event and you will definitely get your moneys worth. As far as the connoisseur ticket goes, they usually do have some harder to come across bottles back there (all bottle pours if I remember correctly). Usually stuff that they've held back a case or two for the event. I remember Black Butte Anniversary, some of the Brooklyn sour things, plus there's good food back there (I remember pizza, BRGR, some kind of shrimp thing, deli sandwiches). I would guess there will be some Bullfrog Grrrz, some Bourbon County, Draai Laag stuff, new Black Butte etc. this year.

I have a library on my iTunes that features over 200 songs from the 8-bit and 16-bit video game era that I still listen to somewhat frequently.

When I first started reading this sentence, I thought it was leading to a playlist that you've compiled for procreating. It then it took a more PG turn, and for that I'm thankful.

    Thought the same.

Plot twist: He and his wife procreate to 8 and 16-bit video game songs.

Beer related note here, I read that a place in the North Hills called Hal's Bar and Grill will be selling bottles of BCBS, BCBCS, Barleywine, and Regal Rye on a first come first serve basis tonight at 7pm. Saw people already commenting that they will be getting there as early as possible so take that as you will.

I bet they will be laughably priced.

Probably. I coincidentally have to go up there after work tonight so I'll at least give it a drive by, but I fully expect to be scared away by the line and if not the line, the prices once I get in the door.
