Southern Star Pro-Am

Specs downtown had probably 10+ cases left per yesterday evening.

 

HEB Bunker Hill still has some on the shelves.

 

I was told today that the first batch would not make it to Austin, but that we would get some from the second batch. So we patiently wait.....

 

Trust me, I was actually thinking about it! I could get some XXIV too.....

 

Yeah, you could get a few bottles. The Specs in montrose and westheimer has a few left and you could go across the street and check out the Hay Merchant.

 

I was really let down by this one. All I got was grapefruit on the nose, then pine and alcohol on the palate.

 

specs barker-cypress/529 had 5 packs left. And BBXXIV

 

This is gret btw, way too drinkable at 10%

 

I live right by that specs but never been. Nice to know Cypress gets decent beer sometimes!

 

The HEB at 290/Barker Cypress is usually pretty solid too. I got my Southern Star Pro Am there for around 8.25 after tax.

 

I didn't know there were any beer nerds out here. Should have NW side bottle share!

 

agreed. I live behind Langham HS. Also, the HEB at Barker-Cyrpess@290 is great. Picked up Sunbelt over there yesterday.

 

I'm in stonegate as well. The 529 specs is good for finding the occasional good beer. They had a bunch of old lips of faith for cheap until I bought them all up! Won't find most new releases but pretty big selection.

 

I lived ou there for 4 years but had to move in Feb. I still work off of 290 though.

 

Lord, this beer is good.

 

Yeah this beer is solid. I am not usually a fan of the style, but this was surprisingly drinkable.

 

Gabriel's in SATX got 5 cases of Pro-Am today.
