Confirmed at the Bolingbrook Meijer on Boughton and 355. They have 50 cases behind the service desk up front. It was me and one other guy there at eight when sales started, so they should be available for awhile. Two bottle limit, $9.99 each. The manager seemed knowledgeable about the whole Black Friday thing. The two ladies working the desk thought he was kidding around with them that people lined up for this beer.

I can't comment on Evanston, but I was told the Whole Foods in the city would all be releasing on Friday (tomorrow) and would have some allocation of the variants but nobody knew how much of any particular variant.

Not sure when they will get it, but the beer guy there is Eli. Someone else mentioned trying to get on the list which is a good idea. Also, if you are interested, Tony's, right around the corner had regular BCBS for $12 and they had it as of last night. 2 bottle limit.

The Lincoln Park one gets variants for sure, but people will be camped out there.

Never heard of suburban WFs getting variants, but I could be wrong.

I talked to one of the stores in burbs yesterday. Sounds like they are getting variants but no Rare.

Any info on what time the West Loop Whole Foods will release? It would be nice to stop there on the way to work, but have a meeting right away in the morning...

Last WF release I went to in 2013 they got all the variants, though only wheeled out 2 bottles of Prop, the other 10 bottles went to the employees. I was #2 in line when an employee ran up saying "I didn't get one!". Beer person gave the employee one of the two bottles, begrudgingly. It was a real sight. I ended up with Backyard/Coffee/Reg.

IMO If I have to guess I wouldn't be shocked to see a case of prop, case of coffee, and case of rye. It seems to me that with the bottle change more single cases of the variants are floating around. Who knows though.

My experience with them in the past has not been positive. I went in there last Friday and they said they weren't selling until 5:00 and that they had regular and BW. I didn't bother to go back. Regular has been all too easy to find this year. If you didn't panic on Black Friday after not getting much, then you probably saved yourself a lot of money.

I hate that liquor store. Horrible customer service and pricing is always through the roof. I cant remember if it was last year or two years ago but they wanted like 50 bucks for a 4pk of regular.

Doesn't surprise me. Those are the assholes that sell Zombie Dust for $6.00 per bottle. I think they break up all the six packs of ZD they get. Shady fuckers.

Evanston has some super-strange booze laws (home of prohibition and all, which is why Schaefer's and Toni's are right on the border). I don't believe any store except Evanston 1st can sell single beers in the bomber size. I was going to say anything over 12 oz, but obviously, 16oz tallboy cans are sold. Anyway, unclear if the 500ml size is OK or not (I would lean towards no, if I had to guess).

Last year, South Evanston WF got regular (a good amount), and downtown got regular, BW, and coffee (Green Bay Rd. wasn't open yet). I'm hopeful that the beer bar on GB gets one or more on draft though - would be nice.

it doesnt hurt to contact Goose about gouging. Report these stores and they will (hopefully) tell the distributor to stop supplying them with there product.
