Found a bottle last week. Judging by the comments so far, I'm thinking I might sit on it for a while before opening.

I typically don't see the need (or desire) to age anything that is hop forward since those hops fade fast.
But, I picked up a bottle and now based on some of the comments, I'm debating wether or not to let this one age a bit. Wish I had bought two so I could have one fresh and one to age, but I'd already blown too much on Bourbon County that week. What's everyone else doing?

On another note, for those of you in the Ann Arbor, MI area, Hopcat will have Project Pam on tap December 10th, along with Backwoods Bastard, Blushing Monk, Curmudgeon, Imperial Stout, Devil Dancer, and KBS.

I'm gonna seek it out on tap before I go cracking a 750 mL bottle.

Drink it now.. it was meant to be drank.

It's not going to turn into some magical CBS like beer. I don't see it being terrible aged, as I do think it'll hold up, but don't look for a reincarnation of something it's not.

Ashley's tapped it last night, and it's probably still on.

Well, considering I didn't like the hoppy bitterness when I cracked my first bottle should I just drainpour my other bottle? Or put it on the shelf for a while to see if that fades?

I thought odd sides nihilist was my favorite new beer of 2015 but this beat it significantly.

How so? I mean, it was on tap for weeks at a time earlier this year and I drank plenty then. Why be greedy?

I haven't had this beer yet and have no idea how it will age but remember what happened with Bolt Cutter. It was met with a mostly middling reception but ultimately coalesced and evolved into a really top flight BA barleywine. Maybe this one has the magic too?

Tried it on tap Tuesday night - I have to believe that they had the taps mixed up -
all I tasted was coconut. I will have to try it at a different spot. Something was amiss (maybe).

I do not have a very discriminating palate, and not a fan of either vanilla or coconut, but to me kind of tasted like suntan lotion smells.

I was a little disappointed in this beer. I had it last night and it was way more bourbon forward than I hoped. In my opinion, there was too much going on. Heavy bourbon upfront followed by some hop zing at the end. Certainly not a a bad beer, but I wish I hadn't bought two of them. Founders rarely disappoints for me, but this one did.

As to coconut taste, I would guess the taps were mixed up as I didn't get any of that. Having noted that, different people's palates picks up different things in the same beer, so you never know.

Or maybe if you didn't like it the first time don't buy it again?

I also wasn't referring to you but someone who hasn't had it

Maybe I bought two on the release day? I mean, it is not unheard of people buying an extra bottle of a limited release (in case they like it), is it?

Anyway, I'm going to go against your advice and shelve this one for an undetermined amount of time.
