Seriously though, watching the FB post comments blow up right now. The arguing and accusations have begun!

 

I live really close so I'll probably drive by there late Saturday night and see what's going on. If it's building up then I'll get in line. If not I'll shoot for 5 or so.

 

I plan on getting there around 7

 

It's just bad to start asking what time people will line up. Someone post and says they are getting there at 5am, that makes the next person reading that statement to line up an hour earlier and it starts a trickle down effect. Before you know it the line will be at 100 the night before. I really hope they do a ticketing system that can't be easily manipulated. This release will truly bring out the worst in people.

 

If they don't do the ticketing system, which it doesn't seem like they will then it depends on how bad you want the beer. It's easy for me. I'll stop by and if it's busy I'll wait and if not I'll come back. Can't be any more of a circus then the street green release was

 

why waste an entire if not most of a day for a few bottles of beer. I truly do not get releases any more, there will always be another one of some other "rare" beer. It is a never ending cycle. Does any one else feel this way too? Part of this may be the wife talking but there is a lot of truth to it IMO.

I don't do many releases. If I knew that street green release was going to be that bad I would have stayed right in bed. Kane is close and I go there twice a month so I don't mind. A few friends want to do it also. So we will make a long boring day.

 

December 12th is going to be a great day to grab a beer and sit in front of the computer and read this thread!

I completely agree and I know people on here get all huffy when we express this opinion. I get why people do line up BUT I also do believe that this has led to the tremendous shit show/hype/overcharging/anger that is increasing in the craft beer world. Doesn't seem like fun to me. Wouldn't everyone like to just drop by a brewery, shoot the shit, have a few samples, and just take home a few bottles of beer?

People are going to line up in the pitch black cold of night, 6-8 hours before the doors open, in December. Then get hypothermia from exposure and not get their beer.

 

At opening limits were half-case of each variant + 1 case regular. They dropped limits as the day went on.

 

This is probably my favorite beer ive ever had. Either this or Sunday brunch. Both are out of this world and are my type of beer.

Having said that, I will probably go early, get as much as I can, and trade none of it. I will be drinking it, and enjoying all of it so... so much.

 

There will be blood at this release

Kane employees told folks beer was not permitted in line at the Anny party. The flyer they passed out with the drafts That day also said that. Were you not aware of that or just didn't care?
