should have seen it 2 years ago. Backyard Rye was not even hard to find, I bought a ton of coffee, BCBS was as plentiful as Bud Lite essentially.

now I can still buy as much BCBS as I want but the variants are a whole different story. I was able to buy 2 bottles of Coffee and 1 of Regal Rye, and 2 of those 3 bottles were only bc I was on a list. I found a grand total of 1 "variant" bottle in the wild. (not counting barleywine(

Rare, though, didn't seem to get here at all.

That is a crazy good price, they had it at Hugh O'Neill's in Malden for $45/bottle (which seems about right considering usual 2.5-3x markup).

As of 9-11pm last night, you could do all four (local) variants by hitting Bukowski's Boston (Coffee/Regular), Lower Depths (BW/Regular) and Bukowski's Cambridge (Regal). If I recall, BB and LD were $12/11 for 10 oz pours, BC was $15 for 10 oz pour. I rated them Regular>BW>Coffee>Regal. (Odd b/c I loved Coffee the previous 2x I had it, but not last nite.)

Coffee and '13 BCBS still on at Merchant, and they still have Regal Bottles. Coffee $15 10 oz pour, BCBS $14 10 oz pour, Regal $25 bottle. Was just there at Noon.

Coffee still on tap at Bukowskis Boston and The Merchant. Regal might still be on tap at Bukowskis Cambridge?

I've been hearing that the variants (including Rare) and BW aren't worth the time but regular BCS is drinking great.

Not sure which part of MA you call home but coffee and any other variants have been tough to get for at least 4, years running.

2 years ago I was on a couple lists which guaranteed me a 4 pack. another store I know got multiple cases of 4 packs in. I was able to buy well more than a case of coffee.

    (Brighton/Brookline/Allston area)

I bought, I dunno, 6 or 7 bottles of Backyard Rye that seem year

I think this year's still needs some time. I liked the '14 BCBS I had last week better than the '15.

Regal bottles are gone at Merchant, but (as of last night around 10 when I left), they still had coffee and 2013 regular on draft.

I actually ordered the last Regal around 7:30 last night.
2013 might be too smooth now, the bourbon character is largely gone, at least on draft.

Coffee is amazing if you like coffee forward stouts. Really aggressive coffee esp on the nose. I love coffee stouts so for me coffee BCBCS is phenomenal right now.

Nice, glad you got to try it. I was there with a larger group; we got 2 bottles for the table to share around 5. Tried to order another one when new folks showed up around 8:30 and they were gone, so you just made it!

Regal bottles available at Hugh Oneills Malden as of last night. Going for 45$ and 1 per table. I know the manager had told me they had received 8 bottles, so not sure the amount left. Also still have a great tap list, BA Double Negative, BA Dragons Milk was what I drank last night.
