Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

Was this just sitting on a shelf? I go there a couple times a month and peruse the shelves. Guess I'll have to kick myself for missing it :-(

 

Any good local suggestions out in the shops right now I could take home to Michigan with me? I'll be on town Friday to Sunday. BA Darkness seems like a long shot but always looking for good local stuff I can't get in the mitten.

 

On the previous page someone said there is a shop releasing BA darkness on Saturday.

I'd recommend getting a Castle Danger Mosaic IPA bomber, Summit Old Blaggard Barleywine 4-pack, Abrasive is still great (don't know if you can get that), Surly Nein (Eight is still around too), Bauhaus Winterloper baltic porter, Fulton BA expat, TG hops are still around (Zeelander, Pompeii), Clown Shoes Ride the Wendigo (MN only BA wee-heavy), Lift Bridge Commander is probably still in most places. Lots more, but those are a good starting point.

 

To add to @Josholson666 , Bent Paddle Cold Press if you like coffee beer. If you can make it, Dangerous Man has plenty of crowlers to go around.

 

Almost forgot, you can still get Indeed Rum King in a few places. Extremely good beer.

You're not gonna like what you see; it has sold out rapidly. However, as Josholson666 said, there will likely be some later releases. Keep your browser on the above link, and be ready to motor if it's posted.

Surly Abrasive, which is actually higher rated than Darkness, is easily found around the Twin Cities. If you like DIPA's and haven't tried it, snag a 4-pack...I think most MN BA people would agree it's a must try.

Is barrel aged narwhal any good? My local store had it and the owner said it was limited release but I haven't heard anything about it.

 

I didn't enjoy it too much, though I believe others have. I think the price point is a little steep for what it is.

If you do a little bit of looking around, last years release is still sitting around.

 

i found last years to be really hot. i havent cracked this years yet but hear it is better than last years.

 

Since we are on the BA Narwhal topic, anyone seen it less than $20? Most places have been $21.99. I think it's a great beer, but $22 good? I don't think it is.

 

Any places you'd reveal that have 14 BA Narwhal? Really love that beer!

Lake Wine has 4 on the shelf as of last night. They have had it forever. 20.99

 

It was on the counter, but it was on Friday when BCBS released. They probably held some to release with the bourbon county and I just got lucky.

 

might try Big Top (Ridgedale). they had it on sale for $17.49.

 

2014 does not equal 2015.

I've got plenty of 15 but someone said last years batch is still around as well, which I have not seen.

 

Should have put 2014 or '14 then, when I read it I though you were trying to grab and horde 14 individual bottles.
