I'm all better now and decided tonight's the night to resume my 6 days box from @UcDru. So I tore open this bad boy (day 4):



New brewery tick. Sadly, I have to report this doesn't taste like I imagine what they were after. Sour on the nose and sour dominates any flavor of the underlying stout or barrel.

 

That batch 2 is the truth. I'm having a hard time finding any lately, but I did find one for my 12 days box.

Pretty excited about it. Now, between you, Bryan and Russ, I have a good sample of brews from Texas.

I hate to hear this from a brewery I really like. I remember some sour but not overwhelming the stout. @PassMeAZima , @Corriecrafts , @UcDru , thoughts?

 

Seems like it, I saw in a few other reviews some similar comments about the sourness.

And knowing you/this group, it probably doesn't matter what I say, but no need to fix anything; not your fault at all.

So just last week I put out a feeler for 2 bottles of Hipster Brunch - one for me, one for my 12DoX target. My good friend Nate, @NJB145, who previously was so kind as to send me my first Hopslam, has done it again, but this time he has decided that I have not had enough Odd Side in my life.

Wow man. So much good new beer here, can't wait to dig into them. Thank you for the pick up, and the extras.

I will recommend Number 3's, 18" O.C...........

Porch crushing box #2 come from @whyteboy003 I think. It was packed like Matt did it. But there are no Florida beers in it. Wait, Surly, Maine, Jackie O's, Rhinegeist - it must only be from our resident traveling beer **** @UcDru. In response to a couple of beers I sent him last month he does this:

There are some big wants in here, including Hoof Hearted, Rivertown and Rhinegeist and that amazing Jackie O's. All the Bells will be going straight to my beer store lady tomorrow as she is from Michigan and loves it when I get Bells for her.

Drew- you better find someone to sell plastic wrap to in Dallas, because I need to buy you a beer or 12. Thanks so much.

 

Wife has confirmed porch crushing from both @jawas And @PG2G! I'm in DC trying to keep up with Nick and Martin out west, but rest assured pr0nz to come tomorrow, Saturday at the latest!
