How're the lines at the Lincoln Park and South Loop WFs?

 

Look at my pocket watch rock baaaack and forth, now listen to my soothing voice. Noooothing to see here. You will not go to Whole Foods today. In fact you don't even like BCBS anymore...and every time you hear a bell ring, you will bark like a dog.

 

Just drove by lp, about 25 to 30

 

Just got in line at 7.10. Around 50 people.

 

Gold Coast was 1 case of each variant, choose 2, and started at 7am. Sure it was just as much a shitshow everywhere else

 

Showed up at Streeterville Whole Foods around 15 min before open and was #30. All variants were still available, although they sold the last rare right after me. Looks like they had 2 cases of rare as not everyone was buying a bottle. Plus they had cases of 2014 BW and Regular so people could grab one of those 4packs as an extra.

 

Anyone hit hinsdale or willowbrook? Wondering if the info given me was accurate (8 rare hinsdale, 0 at wb).

Went to the West Loop Whole Foods right at the 7am open on my way into work. There were a ton of folks in line and the employees noted that they wouldn't start selling until 8am. I couldn't stick around for an hour.

 

West loop sold before 8 am. No variants available anymore.

 

Tons of Regular available at meijers as of last night. At least the 3 I went too

 

LP...got a shit ton of stuff. You could show up now and get at least coffee. Probably regal still.

 

They were letting you get full four-packs? It was limit 2 at West Loop.

 

Of the 2014s. Those were "separate" from the standard 2 variants and 2 regular limit. Guessing they were just trying to get rid of old stock or being nice?

 

Yeah. It was full four-packs. Looked like they sold out around the same time as Rare though.

 

West Loop was 2 regular, 2 variant and older stuff counted as variants. Lasted significantly longer.

 

Yeah, I think I was the first or second person not to get the option to purchase the older stuff, and I was probably...50 or 60 deep in the line?

While it sounds like I should've gone to LP (seems to the theme for BCBS releases), I was pretty happy with the way West Loop ran their show. The started selling early (8am didn't make much sense if they open at 7), everyone got to stand in line inside the store (I was anticipating a cold hour+, so I was happy), and I thought the allocations were solid enough.

 

The couple just ahead of me bought the last two of this year's BW, which made me sad as that was the one thing I really wanted for a gift. Ended up with two regular and two of last year's BW. I don't know how far back in line I was... maybe 40s? It was hard to tell.

I was also happy with how they ran it. It was nice to be indoors. West Loop was pretty much my only option, since I have a 9:00 meeting and West Loop is right by the Metra.

Also, if anyone has an extra BW they'd be willing to part with, I'd be interested...

 

Wheaton WF sold out within 5 min or so.

No rare from what I saw.
