If reg BCBS is $15-20 per bottle I will...

  1. Buy fewer bottles than what I really want

    62.8%
  2. Buy about 3-5 bottles and call it a day

    24.1%
  3. Buy as many bottles I can find still. Price is no object.

    13.1%

All honesty at 20 a bottle 20 bottles would be about 400 which I think is at the extreme end of what I'd be willing to spend and 20 is about what I'd want in a perfect world. So at 20 I'm still buying what I want. Over 20 and I'm very quickly stop buying after a few bottles. 40 a bottle for regular and I'd likely just get 2.

Gee, another whiny little bitch who doesn't appear to actually understand what he's ranting about. This might be news to you, but once the brewery has sold the beer to a distributor, it doesn't belong to the brewery anymore. They can agree to participate in an event without knowing what's going on at the store. While I don't know anything about this particular store, their Facebook doesn't mention bourbon County anywhere this year. With no knowledge of the situation (except your ranting) , it looks like they didn't get any bcbs this year for black Friday. So, maybe it's because goose wasn't too keen on what the store did last year?

I did not venture out on Black Friday. On that Saturday I did and none of the major stores I frequent had any left. I went to my local Beverage place and they had never heard of it. I told them what it was and 3 days later they had reg. BCBS for $8.99. It was a 1 bottle limit, so I guess mentioning it to the store payed off. I've been back a couple of times to pick up bottles to age.

Apologies if already posted but I couldn't find it anywhere. How much was 2015 Prop this year?

Love Beertopia - best prices and selection in Omaha and beyond!! In the Chicago 'burbs most everyone had regular for $9.99 with a few smaller shops at $10.99. Of course Costco had theirs for $7.99 which is crazy/awesome - just don't have one close enough.

It is illegal to make people buy one item to qualify to buy another. I am shocked everytime that someone reports a similar scenario.

Yes, definitely report that. There isn't a single brewery in the country that would appreciate hearing that their product is on sale for 3x the SRP.

Sweet and spicy. There is A LOT of maple and unlike other people I thought that there was a really nice amount of pepper.

Add me to the do not buy list. Nothing to do with the price, or who makes it. Just don't desire the beer that much.

My stout allotment was 15.99 for six...Bell's Java Stout. Keeps me happy.

I live in GI territory (IL) and my local shop held a bottle of Rare for me...but proceeded to charge $100 for it. Still not sure if it was worth the price, but I had my mind on getting a bottle already (stubborn), didn't have another alternative lined up, and I had the funds available; only time will tell if the taste and nostalgia was worth the cost ($5.9/oz). If anything, it will be a great story to complain about and has made me choose another local bottle shop for my business.

I paid $10 this year. I wouldn't pay much more than that. Certainly not $20.

$10.99 for BCBCS. Good deal. Was offered two, only bought 1.
