They might not be the toughest beers out here but there are some gems in there, enjoy the haul!

Popped into White Birch Brewing yesterday. The other small haul was purchased in CT.

The Arctic Panzer Wolf (or Arctic Fucking Panzer Wolf [AFPW], as it is know by its supporters) is one of my favorites. Start with a cold beer from the fridge. After the first few drinks your tongue will stop working properly. As you are distracted with video games or comic books (possibly internet forums) your beer will warm up a bit and begin to taste wonderful. Nothing else you eat that evening will taste good at all.

Ok, I agree its odd. Oddly wonderful. I think the sign was around 20-30 range. It's hard to tell with Gpawned, you always suspect he is rounding down unless you see a receipt.

I love it (and almost every other FFF brew I've ever had) as well. I was just pointing out that the bottles are OLD...although FFF is odd as well haha.

You can tell by the bomber style...those APWs were left over from before they switched to a new style (you can tell by the neck...see MoparGrease haul above). My local store has been trying to sell theirs off at $12...I said I'd buy them for $6. I think they're at least 6mos old at this point.

I didn't see the L. I just compared them to some other FFF bottles I have and you are correct, the neck is different. Not sure what that means for the age, but how would one even hazard a guess as to the age? I just had a Dreadnaught a few nights ago with the same (old?) neck (I still have the bottle) and it was super hoppy and delicious. They don't date stamp bottles, and I am pretty sure there wasn't a lot of information released about they were going to cut over to the new bottles. I am still really excited.

I will let you know how they taste, now I have to have one tomorrow.

Well the store by me has had them since January, but Rabbid Rabbit had the new (slimmer) neck on it and that beer comes out in March...so I'd guess at least that old.

We are getting off topic here, but does it necessarily mean that they set up a new bottling line with new bottles that they are out of old bottles?

I can think of lots of reasons you might bottle fresh beer in old bottles, even if newer bottles are available. Esp if you have more than one bottling line. Also, I really want it to be fresh and delicious. Enough of your nay-sayerie.

I've just never seen any beer in the old style "fat-necks" since Rabbid Rabbit came out...and I'm usually at FFF every week.

I'll shut up now...just trying to get some info out.
