Do yourself a favor and don't trade an arm and a leg for Prop '15. I'd try to find it on tap to see if you like it first. You will thank me later : )

    Cheers!

Already had it...like it...want it. But, I'm definitely hesitant to trade and arm and a leg for it. Gotta wait and see a couple more chances I have to grab a bottle - not very likely, but then I'll address a possible trade.

Anyone know of any around Joliet still? Missed the Mariano's release the other day.

LP WF was giving away all variants per purchase? I know the depaul beer buyer and I can insure you he did his best with what he was allocated. And he is a sexy man.

It's a bit of a drive, but give the Bolingbrook Meijer a call. They put 50 cases of regular on sale Thursday. Limit 2 9.99 each.

LP did allocate all variants, if you were in line early enough. No comment on sexiness of DePaul beer guy's sexiness, but I did get my refund today. Those guys all have a no-win job - getting BCBS in is really just a hassle. I appreciate all of them making it a decent time for us beer nerds.

You were allowed 2 variants per purchase at LP, max of 1 type.

Are you referring to the LP location on Kingsbury or the DePaul location on Fullerton? I was under the impression that the Kingsbury location allowed one of each variant to go with 2 regular. I called them multiple times and they told me the same thing each time. That would've been a bummer to have them change it.

The Kingsbury allocation was as @prior2two said. I called the night before and what they told me about what the allocation would be was consistent with what it was but they undersold the prices of Prop and Regal by $2 each.

It's amazing the different stories you get when calling stores about how they'll handle a release.

Orland Park WF only released half their allocation on Friday, total of 13 people I heard, and then the rest of it Saturday morning. Apparently somebody told the regulars it would be on Saturday, even though the company said it would be Friday. I guess the store felt obligated to hang on to some. My brother showed up at 7:45 on Friday, was #13, got a Prop. #1 tried to jump back in line and they told him it was cutoff for the day.

I was in the beer/cheese section of the West Loop Whole Foods last night around 7:30 and the person working in the beer section came out from the back with a bottle of regular BCBS and a bottle of BW that he gave to two guys. I didn't ask if there was more, etc., so don't know if this was a special hold for them or if there is still some left, but it didn't seem like the he knew the two guys.

Also, I overheard them ask about Darkness, and he said they weren't allocated any.

Galleria on Southport is asking the reasonable prices of $19.99 for regular and $39.99 for BW if anyone is interested in lighting money on fire.

For a mere $75 a bottle, you too can experience Regal Rye at Lion Head Pub in Chicago!
