Alpine does not live up to its hype at all. I just got back from a week in Santa Monica and had the Alpine on tap in SoCal and it tasted the same as the Alpine we get here. But it is underwhelming me by a lot. There are a ton of local IPAs i prefer over Alpine - Double Duckpin, Ocelot, OTWOA, Solar Abyss to name just a few. Carton 0077XX is better. Fat Head's IPA's, Jai Alai, many more. Alpine has really disappointed me.

I am pretty sure that Alpine kegs in SoCal are the same Green Flash brewed Alpine* versions we get here. Ever since the Green Flash takeover the only Alpine brewed beer in distribution has been in bottles. I am not sure if distributed bottles are even brewed at Alpine anymore. The only way to be sure you're drinking the real deal these days is to go to Alpine.

@TomCat11 thanks for the suggestions. I checked RC Rogers which is right down the street and they had already sold out of the few they received. Bummer!

Just drank another Alpine Pure Hoppiness and it was great. Just don't fall victim to the hype and enjoy your beer and everyone will be okay.

Blue Monday is one of BlueJacket's best yet. $20 for a 750ml, limit two pp. Practically no one there at 1p, so it should last awhile.

Didn't look for IX but looks like I got the last 6 pack of Xocoveza for now. They only got 3 cases of it apparently, hopefully they reorder more.

They also still have plenty of BCBS and BCBBW but at $15.99 and $19.99 a bottle I think they will have those bottles on hand for a while. I know they usually run $1-2 more than other places but sheesh!

I was surprised they had Double Duckpin for $12.99. I'm used to it being $15 everywhere.

Dominion had a couple of sixers of Xocoveza left after I picked up two this afternoon if anyone is interested. Still the same $11.99 price tag that is blowing my mind given how hard this beer is proving to find in NOVA this year.

Blue Monday by Blue Jacket is for the ultimate coffee lover(are you drinking beer or coffee? its that much), over the top coffee flavor that came off silky smooth, reminded me of drinking a cappuccino. Deff worth a try, but they don't have it on tap you have to by the bottle :slight_frown:

I too am interested in this. Someone posted in the Sam Adams Rebel Raw thread about receiving some cans with the the drink by date of 1/5/16 (sounds like they are in the industry somehow). That means we should be seeing it soon. I think it's DC only though, so maybe I should post this in the "DC Releases Only" thread...

Anyone have any idea on how long the Blue Monday bottles are going to last? Or how big the batch was to begin with? I remember the BA double mexican radio lasting for a while last time. Hoping to make it over tomorrow...

Add me to the list of interested beer drinkers. It is supposed to be hitting Boston stores this week so it seems likely we'll be seeing it in DC this week or next.

Here is a link I found from Friday that was supposedly updating with stores that received as they were known. Who knows when it was actually last updated but worst case is the information is 2-3 days old. http://blog.samueladams.com/looking-rebelraw/

Can anyone confirm Abyss will start hitting shelves this week?
