I am setting at my client office and this idea is pop up in my mind, having live broadcast form home watching my yesterday's fermentation. :flushed:

    Is that normal ?

if you feel compelled to watch your airlock bubble all day then by all means go for it.

Yeah, I got over the need to watch. I check occasionally to make sure fermentation has started, but then I forget about it for the remainder. I actually switched back to buckets (easier to clean/carry), since I don't watch anyway.

But if the cost of surveillance doesn't bother you, I say why not? I would just opt to use that money on other brewery equipment.

That to me is like watching paint dry. But we all have our own ideas of normal

What if something goes wrong? Then you are going to want to rush home and fix it. I would not want to know, it would drive me crazy.

After very late lunch i figure out how to do "Remote fermentation surveillance" simply and easily.
leave laptop with open Skype and camera on , basically do Skype chat with my carboy, and that's ridiculous.
