As long as I can easily find out how long the "best-buy" dates are from the "born-on" dates, I don't have any problem with it.

I'm just happy that I live in a market that gets Sixpoint distro.

Jammer is nice, drinking one now. Wish it was a RAD to be honest.

It seems to me that @Sixpoint is doing it right on just about every front
Nevertheless, it is rare that you see Sixpoint listed as a "desert islamd" brewery.
    Here are there credentials:
    1) They brew great beer. All of their regular brews are rated very well. The majority of their beers are 4 or better here on BA
    2) All their beer is in cans that are in 6 or 4 packs
    3) No overpriced bombers
    4) All their beers are fairly priced and readily available
    5) Incredibly strong core line-up
    6) Great seasonals 3 Beans, Abigale, Hi Res, Global Warmer.
    7) they are always releasing something new (coming soon 4 beans)
    8) Reasonable expansion. When they enter a market they are able to meet the demand of that market.

So what else could you want from a brewery.

I appreciate them. Trust me. They're my favorite brewery from NY and the only breweries I buy more beer from are the craft giants like Sierra Nevada, Founders, and Stone.

I think part of the issue with them is the wide QC variance. I've had no shortage of great Sixpoint, and for a while when I'd travel back north they were a must buy when I stocked up. However, I had so many mediocre cans that my purchases finally dwindled to none. Every once in a while I'll see Resin and grab it, but even that's maybe once or twice a year. Don't even give the core stuff a second look anymore.

I know someone from the brewery is active here, were their some quality variances in the last 2-4 years that have been solved that should have me revisiting the brewery? I remember reading the beer was brewed in multiple facilities, was that it?

They just arrived in Charlotte and it barely made a blip on the radar, although that's not necessarily their fault (too many brands on shelves/ every brewery, no matter how respected, arrives to great fanfare and events for a week, then settles into shelf dust collection).

Love Resin. Was let down by Jammer. Crisp is middle of the pack. Wasn't compelled to try Sensei and 4 Beans is is the next one I'll give a shot. Good brewery. Not great.

    Agreed, my go to brew!!

    6) Don't forget Sensi, they actively look to improve the formula when necessary (Sensi 2014 vs 2015!!)

That "someone" from the brewery is the owner / President, and he is very active on BA

Sixpoint beers were brewed by the Lion / Stegmaier brewery in PA for a time (when first canned), and they switched to a new contract brewery - City Brewing in Memphis TN, and the quality is much improved over the past few years, as well as consistency of product. If you have not tried any of their beers in the last couple of years, you should try them again. All solid

Resin is a solid IIPA. 4Beans was okay when I had my first can but every can that followed has been superb and wish I had more. I was underwhelmed by Bengali and the only Sixpoint I want to try is Global Warmer but can't pull the trigger.

They're relatively new to Iowa, but I'm really digging most of it. Most recently, Global Warmer. Much better than I even thought it would be!

That's exactly the info I was looking for. If this issue has been resolved, I'm more than happy to revisit the brand because at one point I enjoyed them quite a bit. Thanks for following up.

I've only had fresh Resin and some 4beans and they are both excellent brews. I hope to someday expand my palate on the Sixpoint offerings. Maybe in person!
