Reserve Society members just got an e-mail from the Bruery. Nice going Partrick, Tyler and the rest of the crew! The highlight of the e-mail:

This should in theory, cut some of the sweetness and raise the booziness, no?

Or, perhaps it's as well balanced as last years and we can also enjoy it the minute it comes out! Most of us welcome the chance to try it!

And now will take 6 people to drink it, instead of 5!

Not necessarily, it depends on whether the recipe was altered at all. If they recipe was the same and this years is more attenuated, then yes, it should cut a touch of the sweetness. If they altered the recipe, then there are too many variables to know just based on the ABV.

Are we the only two people that like fresh BT? I think it is absolutely a stunning beer.

Slightly off topic, but mostly relevant:

I'm surprised how many people said last year's BT was too sweet. Compared to what? Obviously there's going to be a lot of residual sugars in a beer that huge, but I think BT balances it out very nicely. WWS and especially Dark Lord are way sweeter IMO. (I know that's an unfair comparison seeing out DL is straight 'beetus).

I like Black Tuesday. I'm not gonna act like one of those cool dudes who's anti-hyped beers. Nu'm sayin'? Tru' nuff. Hataz gonna hate. Keep drinkin' yo Hatorade, I'll reach fo a Black Tuesday.

It's weird, pretty much everyone I know loves it, but it seems like half of BA hates it. Oh well, more for me!
