If you're looking to get Fresh you don't have to get Abrasive.

Has anyone recently spotted any Central Waters BB Scotch Ale in the northern suburbs?

Qualifier--I know I'm really late on this one...

Plenty of Death by Coconut at Team Liquor in Shorewood. Plus plenty of CW BB Scotch Ale.

Did Central Waters Bourbon Stout make it to Hudson yet?

Yes it did. Picked some up on Saturday. Had a couple cases stacked up. I think it was $15.99 for a 4pk.

Man, that stuff seems to keep inching up in price. Its becoming much less of a thrill to buy anymore for the price. What happened to the $9.99 days

Do Abraxas or Sump ever make it up to Hudson?

The CW BR Scotch Ale made it to the Cities obviously shortly after hitting Hudson. I saw it for $12.99-$14.99. Nova prices are just a little higher than most. I am hoping that is the same this year. I wonder when the cherry version comes out.

Totally agree. This was one of the best bargains in the beer world for a few years, but each release I buy a little less as the price slides up towards other BA brews. After buying cases in the past, I believe I only bought two four packs last year. Still a very nice brew & really, the price point is poor only relative to itself in 2012.

Pretty sure Casanova posted on Twitter that they had Abraxas bottles once a year or two ago. I believe they had It on tap last year too, no growler fills though IIRC. I also had both Sump and Abraxas at their Beer Cave Fest last spring. Generally though, it's not too common.

Last year, they got a very limited number of bottles of both. They didn't sell them retail, rather, they chose to sell them for on site consumption on the restaurant side. I believe they were around $40-$45 for a bottle on site, which is pretty low markup (approx 200%, where standard restaurant markup is 200% to 300%). I don't know much about years prior, but I didn't hear anything about them having it on tap last year, just bottles for on site.

That sounds right now that you say it. I knew the restaurant had it but it was bottles not tap. Thanks for the correction.

they had a keg of Abraxas during their cave fest / week, whatever it was called.

DeVine in River Falls also saw bottles of Abraxas and Sump.

Another request for Death by Coconut...preferably in the east metro (Woodbury area). Dennis Bros said their wholesale partner hasn't had it come through their facility yet, and not sure they'll have it.
