I'm really hoping this will be a good one. Really need a brewery that draws me to downtown regularly.

Was a big fan of the saison as well. Standard range of styles for their initial offerings - IPA's, saison, porter, stout, pale ale. Really cool space. Massive round bar with skeeball, darts, and ping pong off on one side, booths on the other side as you walk in from the patio. Tons of kids there playing games yesterday, in case that's a selling point (or dealbreaker)

Yup - noticed the Fritzi Dog kitchen area in the corner

Speaking of dogs, they also allowed us to bring our pup onto the patio

I'll definitely stop by next time I'm down there. On another note does anybody think they should've gotten a little more creative with the name?

i think they could have gotten a little more creative with their logo, but that could just be me

i think it's cool if a brewery claims an area / town whatever. makes sense. kind of like how Eagle Rock brewing did, even though they weren't in Eagle Rock

Stopped by on Sunday, awesome set up and atmosphere, the beer is exactly what you would expect from a place that just opened but solid enough to build off of.
On a side note the tater tots with beer cheese dip might be the perfect bar snack.
    I'll be going back.

On my visit last night I could see that the Cede Moses part is really important to them there. Just don't think you need liquor at the brewery. Asked the bartender about a certain liquor and he literally had to pick up all the bottles to try and find it, "I'm a beer guy." Obviously, because you don't even know basic liquor. Then they had the Manhattan procedure to go over. I could only imagine this guy trying to make a Manhattan. I could see beer geeks getting frustrated waiting behind a "beer guy bartender" trying to make a handful of cocktails when they just want a beer. The beer was good. The food was odd that is wasn't connected to the bar. Not a big deal, but just link all the micros together. Parking...valet only, unless you find street parking.

Is the walk from the Little Tokyo Gold Line station pretty good or is it really sketchy?

The corner where Traction and 2nd come in to Alameda is a little desolate on that side of the street, due to an overgrown tree and a busted transformer box crowding the heavily cracked sidewalk, hemmed in by the chainlink fence of the adjoining parking lot, but otherwise the walk has very little sketch factor.

it does a lot to develop a neighborhood when you have a drinking hole, tavern, pub, brasserie, with the hood name... things are going up over there anyhow, but yea even if obvious, i agree that was a good idea
