Definitely an idea they that should put into effect. This should be doable since they had separate locations at the anniversary party: bottle table and at least two ticket vendors.

I do agree with the ticket idea, It would make things go a lot smoother. With the drinking all night, I would really really hope people who are going to be driving home would know their limits and think twice before getting behind a wheel or arrange for a ride home. But as sad as it is you're probably right always that one person. Me personally I don't mind waiting as long as I'm with people it's a pretty cool experience having a couple different beers and relaxing although I'd rather be in bed it's still a good time if you do it right and responsibly.

Well again, we were asked to leave the drinking in line conversation at the door a few posts ago. Kane is in an industrial complex with neighbors. I felt their concern with last years ANTEAD release was dealing with their neighbors. One thing to have the parking lot all tied up for one day, second to have thousand people in a line snaked around the buildings and a third to have those people possibly breaking some local laws about public drinking which could do a lot more damages if some other owner in their complex wanted to be a prick about it. Im not going to pretend to know the ABC laws, local laws that could create a hassle for Kane, but Im sure there are some.

I would love a non proxy ticket, like brown paper bag tickets where I knew today my allotment, and had till XXXX date to pick up my prepaid beers. Only Kane can explain why they choose to not go that route. Non proxies would allow those within a travel distance to pick up their beers, and a date in which the not picked up beers go back on general public sale would benefit the true Kane locals.

Honestly Im interested in bottle limits, and variants flavors. Kinda getting close to not know that information.

I agree. I want to know what the hell we're dealing with here. 12 pp limits on variants and regular.. or 6.. it makes a huge difference.

If there are any less than 600 allotments this is going to be a shit show.

My guess, something like 3600 bottles of regular, and 800 bottles of each of 3 variants. Limit of 4 regular and 2 of each variant. First 400 people get variants, another 500 get regular only. It will sell out regardless of bottle count and limits. Up to Kane how many people they want to deal with that day.......

This is what I don't get. Your second paragraph completely eliminates many issues Kane faces and will continue to face with hyped releases -- some of which is alluded to in your first paragraph. A non-proxy BPT allows the regulars (for the most part) to get their allotment, no lines (and therefore no drinking in said lines) and no overwhelmed staff. Allow a deadline for pick up and any unclaimed allotments after the set date are forfeited and re-released to the public. It's guaranteed ANTEAD sells out regardless, so why invite the shitshow to your doorstep?

I agree with this mostly, but until we hear from @MichaelKane, we're just speculating as to the reason they have not gone this route. There must be some drawback or limitation we're not considering. Not that he or anyone at the brewery owes us any kind of explanation. Of course this all becomes moot should they announce they will be using BPT or a similar process.

Seems to me that the smartest thing to do would be to wait for Kane to give the final details. People asked for notice, so Kane gave a week and a half...Yet people still complain.

There will not be tickets for this. It is too quick of a turnaround to let people know they won etc. I wish they went the ticket route, but they decided against it. I would love for it to be 1pp variants and 2-3 pp regular so there is no need to line up in the middle of the night and everyone gets some. not sure if they will implement something to prevent people from getting back in line or encourage it so they sell out that day.

Brown paper tickets isn't a lottery. You basically are buying the bottles online and are guaranteed bottles. You go take your receipt and pick them up. No lottery. No mess. Just simple, painless, and hassle free.

Tickets solves all foreseeable issues, I'm still wondering what the down side is and why

And why it isn't the obvious choice for every highly anticipated release these days

I agree its the best solution, but its not like its perfect. What about people who are working when they get put on sale? Not everyone can be on the internet at all times. the only good thing about lining up is, if you make the time and want it the most, you will definitely get it.

Lines aren't perfect either. What about people who have jobs, children, etc. and can't just wait in a 5 hour line for beer. I think tickets solves more problems than lines.

I agree 100%. I was just saying tickets doesn't solve "all foreseeable issues."

I'm in the same boat. Either 1pm or 4pm. Hoping for low limits!

On a positive...stopping at Carton earlier and may be nice and quiet!

Stepping away from work for 3 minutes and jumping on your phone to buy tickets is a hell of a lot easier than getting up at 3am and going to wait in line in the Middle of December for 7 hours and then hoping that 300 assholes don't just cut the line 10 minutes before the doors open.
