I'll support whoever has what I want within a reasonable distance. I'm not going to kill a polar bear to drive from the far Northeast corner of the greater Sacramento area to Davis.

Coming in around the same ABV, the 16th Anny beer actually reminded me of a spiced version of the Ruin 10th...so to that extent, I think you will enjoy this one too! Cheers.

Just reviewed it, have 3 more bottles I can't wait to enjoy. Different than Heady which was its main comp for me(lemon, rye, obvious) but in the top 3 for beers I've enjoyed.

    This is an incredible beer.

Wasn't a huge fan of it. Still a very solid beer but I think the lemon kind of threw my palate a curve ball.

Where do you shop for beer in Buffalo?

Ruination 10th was much better, I'm glad I only bought 1 bottle of the 16th. I think w/o the lemon it would be significantly better.

How is the lemon flavor though? I literally can't get enough lemon flavor, so as long as it's just a strong natural lemon flavor I feel like I'm going to love this.

imo, the lemon flavor wasn't very natural at all, almost medicinal tasting or something.

I have to agree. Really didn't dig what they were putting down with this beer.

This beer is fantastic! It is so much more than an ipa. Extremely enjoyable, to me one of the tastiest beers I've had. If you're just a hophead, you won't enjoy it as much.

Had this on tap last night and I actually prefer the bottled version. On tap, the lemon and spicy rye finish were very subdued...somewhat surprised and disappointed. Glad I have another bottle.

Got 4 at Bevmo Natomas on SAT and 4 Dorados.Had 2 bombers Saturday.I don't know but no 1 taste stands out to me.Maybe my palate isn't refined enough. And I like lemon and citrus qualities.I didn't pick any up.Also I prefer a sweeter aroma or taste in the front. This was a little more dark but still good. And the 10%. Sheesh.Kicked my butt.

Anyone else think this tastes like Great Lakes Christmas Ale? Hoppier and with a bit more lemon, obviously.

IMHO the worst beer I have ever had from Stone. I rarely drainpour a beer but this was one of those times. It did not really have the sort of lemony taste you would expect from the description - hard to put into words what it tastes like - it was not a beer that you go "that is disgusting" it just does not work and simply was not worth drinking the remainder in my bottle.
