It is friend and it is delicious. Just embrace and enjoy. You'll thank us all later. Soooo are you from Denmark or Vermont? I can't imagine anywhere in Denmark being a short walk to HF but then again they are way the heck out there.

Growlers were the same. They made a change back in September though, and every one of their formerly opaque beers that I've had since then has been much clearer with just minor chill haze.

He was being facetious about being close to HF. He is a brewer there.

I think the opaqueness/muddiness of the Trill beers peaked a few months ago w/the brew they did for Hopjam -- as people may have pointed out -- more recent batches of core beers like Congress St appear more clear -- not sure if it's process variation or on purpose. Cloudy or not -- I've never noticed much if any sediment in the bottle -- but they don't last long before they are consumed so perhaps if they sat for a few weeks some of the cloud might settle out....I'll never know... There certainly are two camps on whether its desirable or not. But a HF fanboy (or Brewer) pointing out that Trill beers are too muddy? That's priceless as HF practically invented the concept of the cloudy NE IPA.....and come to think of it...Edward went south early in 2015 at exactly the same time it got clear. What's up w that?

Wow! With the cloudiness any impact on the taste or bodily functions? Looking forward to visiting them in Feb while at EBF.

So you've never tried them fresh from the source and are willing to base your opinion on people dropping them off? How would you or Shaun feel about people judging your beers when you don't know where they've been or for how long they sat or their temp control? Perhaps you trust your sources and if so, apologies.

But you know what else? It's unbecoming how you comment negatively - consistently - on other brewers. Of course, entitled to your own opinion. And you constantly make it known. This isn't about "support other brewers without question." It's about how you find it necessary to make negative comments far, far more often than positive comments, here and on Twitter & Instagram. But that's your personality. And your opinion certainly carries a lot of weight, I respect it! I just wish sometimes it could be more positive.

But people do judge HF beer from questionable sources and or time. Shit happens.
Yes I tend to post negatively but I also think most people in my position bite their tongue and never call a spade a spade. The industry has grown to be pretty large in the last few years and with that there has been loads of bad beer made and put out on the market. I do not think we are helping ourselves to always ignore this bad beer and not saying anything. I am sure it makes me look a jerk but I am comfortable with that. I would not put Trillium even close to the level of bad beer that I have consumed since moving back to the US (EU had its fair share for sure) as their beer does have great hop character.
My Brother sent me up 2 mixed 6 packs of NC cans. I think I could finished 2 cans out of the 12 as the rest were so fucked with off flavors or oxidation. Pretty sad but thats the state of things atm.

There has been and always will be be bad beer out there. I appreciate you being the voice of the people and letting us all know that's the state of things these days. The thing I don't get is that you criticize a very good brewery for their beer having characteristics very similar to your beers. When you live in a glass house...

Yeah sorry but I don't seen em as similar. The bottles I have tried have all had large haze due to an abundance of yeast and sediment. Not just normal protein haze. If the bottles sent bottles conditioned then I see no excuse for that stuff being in there in such large Amounts and it has ruined, what smelled like, good or great beer for me. I look forward to trying stuff from the new facility in hopes that the situation isn't the same.

Also isn't this a website for voicing ones opinion on beers? My opinions might be negative but so what they are mine. Don't expect everyone to agree with em.

HF hoppy offerings have alarmingly gone to shit since you came onboard. Edward, Susan, Abner--not even close to the standard your boss set and maintained long before you showed up.

Meanwhile you parade around online pissing and moaning at every turn as if you are in some position of authority to speak down to others from your misplaced inflated sense of self. Now, you might be a decent gal in person--but your online personality is on par with the product(s) you have unmistakably played a role in reducing to the crap you bash others for. Hypocrite.

If judging on IPAs only, I think Tree House gets the #1 spot. If judging on overall profile of beers, Trillium or Hill Farm gets the nod.

Cans from NC? Hop Drop and Roll from NoDa maybe? A beer almost everyone likes a lot? Hopefully not.

I'm a HF fan, a Treehouse fan and a Trillium fan, although I've had the least from Trillium and thought the Congress Street I got in growlers at the source was likely not really ready to be tapped. But in any event, I'd be interested in more examples of these bad beers. I certainly do think that heavy dry hopping can hide flaws, and I'm try to get better at understanding those. I've drain poured quite a few hoppy beers over the last year, some were well liked by many.
