You need to be looking for Lizard King, that beer blows the other two out of the water, no contest.... wish I could help on where there was any left.

So, Lizard King is my favorite. Ninja vs. Unicorn is good, but Lizard King is just so aromatic, laid back, delicious. That beer sold me on Mosaic hops, probably one of the best hop varieties out there. This might be heresy, but I think Lizard King compares well to Zombie Dust.
I went back last night and snagged a pair of Lizard King cans.

I SUSPECT that we'll be getting small near-monthly drops of Pipeworks from Tivoli.

I agree, Lizard King does a good job profiling the Mosaic hop as does Zombie Dust with the Citra hop.

Mosaic imperial IPA is at Colorado liquor mart. Don't think they have any lizard king left though.

Came here to say how impressed with lizard king I am. Really hoping it becomes semi regular in the market bc I'll drink that beer every week.

Found Ninja vs. Unicorn at Applejack, they still had three or four four-packs when I left around 1:30. I'll make sure to check CO liquor mart tonight for the Mosaic IIPA.

I picked up a four pack of War Bird at AJ's a little while ago as well.

Gotta say, I really like War Bird. I was kind of pissed after I bought it when I read that it was a saison (the can is no help), and not just a pale ale/session ipa, but the yeast character is subtle and fits well with the hops. Despite the light body, it doesn't feel thin and watery the way most session ipa's feel to me. I could have gotten NvA, but I wasn't really in the mood for 16 oz cans of an 8% ipa.

Anyone know if there is any Lizard King still around town? My day off today and wanting to find some.

I wasn't overly impressed with the Amarillo I had, but it sounds like this Lizard King could be the ticket.

I am disappointed in the NvU cans. It tastes so much better on tap. It was like a different beer. Lizard King was much better on tap too. I wonder if they are having some quality issues with canning.

I generally find that most beers taste better on tap vs the can but I totally agree with your NvU take, it tastes more like something that you can find locally and probably cheaper. Not saying it's bad, it's a good beer but not overwhelming in the can. I find Lizard King to be quite delicious in the can, however. If you are saying it's better than that on tap, then I would love to find it pouring!

Uh... I thought it was a session IPA, so I passed. Since I know it's a saison, I think I'll see if I can find a can of it today. Intriguing.

Agree with this. Amarillo was tasty, but way too hot, IMO.

If anyone is in Fort Collins, I believe Three Four has a keg of Lizard King on at the moment.
