Bourbon County in CT 2015

Picked up one bottle in Rocky Hill for 14.99. Never had this before. Store in fridge or no? It seemed to be at room temp when it was handed to me, unlike the Sip.

 

Cellar temp. 50 degrees works for me

 

Would you do us all a favor and please name this gouger so we all know to steer clear of them? Price gouging retailers deserve to be exposed.

 

Suburban in Rocky Hill. They had BC sitting on the shelf last year and were selling straight 4 packs at the msrp. Now, everything gets the secret hand shake treatment with low limits and high prices. No mas for me.

 

This place sucks. I stop in sometimes because I drive right by it on my way home from work. I leave empty handed every single time.

 

Problem is, there's always some people that will walk in and pay whatever price it is just to get the beer. And that's sad because in the heads of the store owners, it justifies setting those high prices. Sad stuff. Best thing we sensible people can do is just steer clear.

 

Yeah, when I said "I'll pass", the cashier just said "whatever" knowing that is exactly what will happen. I refuse to be part of it and will take my business elsewhere. At this point, I'm hoping to score just a single bottle of regular at a fair price.

 

I agree $16.99 is probably excessive -- but if you are looking for one or two bottles, and your other option is driving around spending significant time and gas money to save $2, you could argue that it's worth buying. I also agree with refusing to pay that much on principle -- the problem is that won't really affect the business significantly.

 

If its a regular fridge (usually colder than 50 degrees) or nothing, then put it in the fridge. Before you drink, let it sit on the counter for 10 minutes.

 

Scored 1 bottle of the Regal today. Got the last one.

i know upstate got regal in the last day or so. havent seen the coffee just yet though... heard rumblings around fairfield county

I dont understand why stores would gouge so bad in the first place. The lifetime value of a regular customer is worth much more than the few dollars that the store would receive.

 

i picked up one and so did my buddy at manchester wine and liquor.. total wine blew through theirs
