Maybe he's narcoleptic. Don't be so inconsiderate.

No, you mean alcoholics  (Note: I drink bombers of beer by myself all the time, just not 19% ones)

One of the weakest "how much can you drink bro?" challenges, I have ever heard of.

A real M3 challenge would be:

    Melange 3 (750)
    Mojito
    Merlot bottle

    In under 3 hours.

Bonus points if by the last glass of Merlot you haven't worked out 2-3 trades on here.

I tried it for the first time last year and both myself and the person I was sharing it with thought it tasted like pure sugar water.. I choked it down but just barely

I couldn't care less what the ABV is. If it taste like the '10 I am all about it. If it tastes like the 09 or 11 fresh, I will prefer to forget about it for a few years.

I'd be more than satisfied to actually have two bottles of Melange No. 3, never mind setting up drinking challenges around it.

Isn't it being distributed this year?

    Thanks.

Seriously, do you not get their beers in your area? I'm on Long Island as all three of my local stores get their brews.

Anyway: when is this beer due out? I missed it last year (I guess?) because I think I remember seeing it, but I never bought it. I hear all these good things about it, so now I don't want to miss it... although 19.2 abv sounds a little off-putting - I've only had a very few beers over, like, 15-16% that I'd buy again.

It's not distributed. Pretty sure that's been covered already.

No idea, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'm pretty stoked to see Oude Tart on store shelves.

I'd love to try it, but probably never will. It's how it goes with whales.

No, we only get the regulars (Trade Winds, Rugbrod, Autumn Maple etc.) up here in Poughkeepsie. We did start getting Tart of Darkness this month though, so maybe they'll start sending some more interesting stuff our way (I'm not into sours).
