Well I am officially depressed. Several times after 12 I saw the quantity selector show up only to see "you have attempted to purchase more than is available" upon check out. Would have rather just driven down Sunday.

It seems to me to have been the fairest way to do this. It essentially gave everyone an equal chance at getting bottles. Myself and 2 friends both got shut out so I'm on the same side of the fence as you. I would just much prefer to get shut out sitting here at my kitchen table than after waiting in line for 4 hours.

Or maybe I'm just not butthurt about it because I would not have gone and waited in line for this. After last year, that was not an option for me. So this system at least allowed me to roll the dice and maybe get lucky. It's just beer...

20 million people within 1.5 hours of kane and probably 500 sets of 8. Do the math people

I ended up with my 8. Refreshed right at 12 and went right through the process. Figured it was the same for everyone else until I showed up here. Had one other friend get his and two others get shut out.

Sorry to those that missed it, I've been on that side with Green Monster seats and other super fast checkouts.

This is pretty funny. Every person was applauding Kane for a ticket systems and is now bashing them. I didn't get any but whatever. I'm happy for Kane that they are able to sell out a beer that fast and maybe I'll have better luck next time. At the end of the day I'm an adult and its Beer and I'm not going to throw a tantrum because I didn't get it.

I planned on camping out yo ensure a prime spot in line .

now who knows what that gets me. I think this system placed me and many others at a disadvantage.

sorry I don't have super Internet.

    see you in line

Everyone gets the same chance, no line cutting, no muling, no hoards of disappointed people at your brewery who got shut out after standing in line all day.

    you still can.

look it sucks to get shutout (i did too, AND i had them in my cart for my cart to magically "expire"), but this for me is much better than the alternative of sitting out all night waiting for bottles and wasting however many hours in line. does it suck to miss out? sure. but i spent 2 minutes of my day instead of 10 hours or whatever stupid number it would take to be guaranteed bottles.

I was super stoked at the potential for not having to wait in line for 6 hours, and luckily it worked in my favor. Similar experience to everyone else, refreshed the page right at noon, checked out in 30 seconds.

I agree with you 100%, but the bolded part is probably what gets people angry. I'm guessing that some people think that the fairest way to sell the beer is to the people who choose to line up earliest. With BPT, people like you and me who are on the fence about waiting, or just plain wouldn't wait, will try to buy tickets. That puts people who are willing to wait at a huge disadvantage. I obviously like this system more, and got shut out, but I can understand where people are coming from that are mad. That being said, Kane clearly wanted to do it this way rather than have people camping out overnight, and they get to choose how to sell the beer. Makes total sense from their perspective.

Agree. And hey guess what with all these people never drinking Kane again it should be much easier next year!

I was lucky this time, but when you do an event like that is just luck.
I've been shot out many times for other releases, but it's better than waiting overnight on a parking lot for sure. With the hype, 10 days of notice and mild weather I guess 4am was already pushing it.

If everyone gets the same chance why not make the online thing a lottery. That's essentially what it is. Or I guess someone is more accurately hitting F5 then I am. This online thing became a lottery without being called one.

I'm slightly annoyed but at the end of the day it's just beer. I'm not going to be all butt hurt and say I'll never drink Kane beer again. That's just silly.

This crap happens all of the time. You'd think that people would expect to get shut out about after previous experience and all of the anecdotes we hear/read about this sort of thing happening . If they scored an order, it should be gravy. It's not like this is the only beer they'll ever be able to drink.

I am actually relieved I don't have to make the drive now and I get to watch football all day and agonize over my fantasy football team playoffs. Just more beer money for me to spend come the weekend as far as I'm concerned.

Got shut out (still hitting refresh!) but glad they did it this way! Proud to see a business have this type of hype and sale.

I've gotten shut out of beer and tickets, but also got both. There will be a next time!

Was lucky to score tickets of their Randall's Island show. Either '95 or '96. Great F-ING SHOW!
