Love Child #6 is soon, distributor rep hasn't mentioned a shipping date but soon. We'll get a lot and I'll post here when it is in.

There is a good chance that Alpine Pure Hoppiness will hit our crowler machine tomorrow.

 

We got a super small amount of Tilquin. Still have some Stout Rullquin. Could maybe spare a 750ml goozie from the cellar. 12% imports gets Tilquin shipments twice a year and I'm sure once the next shipment comes Matt will be able to get more since this time was in between shipments.

I actually work at the Hy-Vee W&S at 8404 N 30th. Shitty location but we have 2 Bourbon County reg as of yesterday. That's out of six, that we got 2 weeks ago. Nobody buys craft there, just cigarettes and Bud Ice. Unfortunately I'm looking to leave ASAP to find a better job. I was hired under the premise that I'd be interacting with customers more about choices and suggestions. It's just glorified cashiering of groceries

 

What time would that Alpine likely get tapped? Gonna plan on swinging by.

 

Depends on when a keg blows. Come on in and by some Renegade Hypocrisy and you can also be the first to buy Pure Hoppiness if you blow the Renegade keg

Assuming there is an available tap and the beer is cold enough on delivery then probably 3:30 PM at the earliest based on my experience of when Quality delivers

Well I drove all the way to Brix to buy LC 6 over lunch and apparently they choose who they sell limited releases now. Justin, the person that helped me, told me they did not have it yet. Two seconds later another customer asks. Justin asks for his name and then proceeds to grab him two bottles out of the back. Not mad about walking out without it, but rather the fact that this is the second time they have lied to my face about certain releases/bottles. Just tell me it's spoken for..... Be honest and never lie to your customers..... Pretty simple in my eyes...

 

I've heard almost the exact same story from a friend, doesn't sound like the type of place I'll continue to frequent.

 

@fds It is most definitely not the right way to do business. This is why I buy from BT or the Hy-Vee close to my house.

 

Good to know. My in-laws are pretty close to Brix but I've always felt weird whenever I go in there to pick something up. I'll just stick to stopping at Beertopia right after landing at Eppley and before heading out into the middle of fucking nowhere suburbia for the holidays. I'm not bitter they moved or anything...

 

That's Bullshit. They are probably my closest store to home but for the most part I rarely go there unless they have something worth stopping for on tap. I'd much rather support Beertopia. Hy Vee is my choice when I need to grab something close to home.

 

So a couple things. One, that was me that got the two bottles. Two, the guy helping you took your name and number and I thought told you they only had a case of it? Three, when he was helping the woman before you he stated he didn't work in the department which I think exasperated the situation (probably was told what to say when someone asked). Four, He didn't know anything about there being two bottles for me. He went and checked in the back and then was told that if there were two bottles being held for me, they would be at the front counter, which is where I went and got them. LC6 hasn't really dropped yet around town, Brix just got a very small amount a bit early - which is why i suspect they aren't throwing it on the shelf for everyone. All that being said, if you would like one of my bottles to consume now I'd be willing to give you one as it will be everywhere soon.

 

They did the same thing with Rare. Walked in on Monday because I heard they got a case that day. Brendan, or however you spell it, said they did not, but they got more regular. Next day, Tuesday, they said they got it yesterday and it was gone. Later that night, Tuesday evening, I am in there and they are handing the case out to certain people at the bar...... Pretty shitty if you ask me.
