I'm hoping for this also. I don't want to miss out twice.

If you do the math according to last years variant to regular availability there is a ton of regular ANTEAD left. That being said. No way I'm going near that line on Sunday.

I'm hoping they announce their intentions for allocations in line... Along with bottle counts of each bottle so we can get a better understanding of what the people in line will be looking at. Would feel bad for the people that are going to line up for 12 hours only to get 2 bottles of regular ANTead lol

They increased the supply a lot, it's crazy to think the demand was that much higher. On that front Kane did what they could.

Umm, I'm sure the list will be alphabetical and should take maybe thirty seconds at most. If one was going to wait 4+ hours for the possibility of getting a few bottles... it's a further safeguard to make sure more people get their shot.

sure, and if 500 people line up 30 seconds a person adds up pretty fucking quickly for a good portion of the line. could quickly turn a 4 hour wait into a 6 hour wait for the people in the back half of the line. but if that's your thing enjoy.

They checked ID's & gave out wristbands for the Anniv release, but that was only for age verification. The Kane guys said that we were to police ourselves and for the most part that was enough. That being said, I'm doing a recon after work as I live 10 mins away and will find out more.

Exactly, what's two more hours max...
But seriously, if they were flippant and had fewer safeguards thus allowing individuals to get further multiples people wouldn't be too satisfied either. Your time is an investment with the beer your reward, I'd suggest weighing your priorities and acting accordingly.

I have no problem with the way they did it, even though I was shut out. My only question is why not sell out the whole release that way? If after the variants sold through, people could have selected 4 bottles of regular (and maybe an option for 2 or 1 after that), there would have been way fewer unhappy people. As it stands now there are a ton of miserable people wondering if they will get any on Sunday, and Kane is still going to have to deal with same shitshow of a line, because no one knows how much there is.

People, let's keep some sense of composure here, and Zonk I completely agree with you, they should have sold it all in one shot online, doing it this way only opens the door for people to either double dip (if they dont have a foolproof method to prevent this), or for people to spend their sunday to strike out once again. I assume they did this to give more people/locals the chance, but on a sunday people are going to be coming in from bumblefuck to get these bottles. And you know people who won online are now going to bring a significant other other friend to grab bottles bc they know they are guaranteed at least the set they won.

People need to get a life if they are miserable because they can't get a certain beer. This craft beer game is getting way out of control.

My opinion is that if they're going to hold some bottles back, save those for random releases at the taproom rather than announcing to be there Sunday at 10am (which in reality means be there at 7 or 8am). THAT is how you reward the locals imo. People are now going to craft ways to double dip when they come to pick up their allocation won on BPT.

Catching up on the comments since last night.

-I agree they should probably give people a heads up on what's left for walk up. Like @jonphisher said, there should be a lot of regular left at least.
-Anyone who sets up overnight for walk up sales and already has a ticket should be dragged out of line and shot. That said, if you go at 2pm and there's no line and still beer available, have at it.
-Honestly, the line shouldn't be bad for the tickets, since there's no money transaction happening. Check ID vs. ticket, scan ticket for proof it's the first use, hand over box o' beer. Sounds pretty simple. Positive thoughts, people.

Miserable is probably a strong word, but I visit Kane once or twice a month and buy and try pretty much all their beers, so I was definitely bummed to not get to try these. Plus add the fact that missing out on BPT feels like you lost at a video game and its definitely disappointing.

That being said, I do probably need to get a life.

I don't really feel like getting into this with you because I know you have very strong opinions on the issue, but I hope you realize that there are other ways of supporting a brewery since DAY 1 that don't involve being a local and visiting the brewery however often you visit it. You must know that their beer is available to drink in places all around the state...

... and I am there every week and I was able to score via the online sale. I probably wouldn't have gotten any if they didnt do an online sale.. It works the other way too. Lets face it, it was a total crap shoot

Kane ANTEAD 2015 tattoo would be a great solution. No way BPT gets 14k hits if you have to get a tattoo when you pick up your 8 bottle allocation.

yeah but like hes willing to go direct to the source, you know? there's something to be said for that willingness, perseverance, and drive to support these guys and drink beer. I'm surprised Mike didn't call him directly and ask him how many bottles he wanted for his incredible desire to drink their beer right at the brewery since they've opened. you sir, get no credit for drinking at some silly bar.
