I kinda agree. If Kane really wanted to reward locals this is not the way to do it.

I have a brewery by me that does things differently and they are on record as saying they do it this way to make sure locals have a better chance at their beer. In fact they had an online dust up with a beverage store in NYC that sent mules to get and sell beer that was supposed to be brewery only.

On the other hand I don't feel entitled to my local beer, and realize my local brewers don't have to care whether locals get beer or not. It's a hobby for me and a business for them.

wonderfully said. and if there was 500 8 packs sold- they made $72,000 in a matter of seconds.

It is obvious the demand for this beer is insane. with everyone on line. they could have let you buy 1 bottle per person and still sold out almost immediately. I didnt get any. I would have loved to get some, but there is not the slightest inkling that kane did anything wrong. I have friends that got some, so hopefully I will get a chance to try some.

No double dipping for me. That's the beauty of getting an allotment and prepaying. I just want to grab my bottles and maybe a grower fill if the line isn't crazy then get the hell out of there.

Kane should sell (at the retail price) any bottles they are holding to the bars that are the best or oldest clients. The bars could easily sell a bottle of ANTEAD for $35.00 and it would be a nice way to reward them.

That's valid. I go to them because it's close. I don't think I would take away from anyone that supports them like you mention. Support is support, you're right about that.

As much as people up and down this thread claim to support the brewery, its the draft accounts that really keep the lights on. It does seem odd that they don't get any ANTEAD. And considering people are asking for 2 bottles of Rare in trade for ANTEAD sets, I'd say those bottles could definitely be sold for more that $35 per.

I'd be interested to see what happens to the bottles that are not picked up at 5:00pm Sunday. There was a post earlier from a guy from California who got a ticket. Someone asked if he is flying out and there was no response. I bet there will be a bunch of unclaimed tickets.

I would think whatever is left could not be more than a 1 or 2 bottle per person of each since that is what was the BPT was. Maybe more once variants run out, like 8 reg.

not quite that high I would think.

maybe 2 regular and a variant of your choice (whatever is left) and then keep going with 2 of the regular until its gone.

Hope your right to make it last. I was just thinking of Kane keeping it fair and in line with what BPT was.

Kane itself could charge $25.00 maybe more and sell out in 1 day.

That's what I'm wondering. People lucky enough to get the BPT (Not complaining so let's keep it to a minimum) were able to get 3-6 variants depending upon which packaged they choose. I'm curious to know what it will be at line up time, and if it will be the same options or not.

I'm sure there will be many unclaimed tix. I got a ticket, but my plans for Sunday have changed and not sure I can make it any more, and I'm sure plenty of people in the same boat.

I'll be coming down after the BA BQE release so should be in time. However I'm not telling anyone what car I drive b/c mysteriously I could get a nail in my tire while I'm at Finback.

The good news is, if you waited until 12 today you most likely got the same result.

What if Kane took a different approach next year and put it all in kegs? They put them on a few times a year at the brewery, taps takeover, different beer fests. That mostly kills the trade hype and resale of it and gives people ample opportunities to have it without having to plan the day or days around it. I know its a lot bigger scale but, Founders CBS wasn't terribly hard to get this year and the places I went were not crazy crowded.
