I picked it up at Lake Wine and Spirits on Monday. They had quite a bit of it.

I honestly think Tell-Tale Tart by Bouvlevard is a good intro into sour beers..

Since Ben likes to be a ****-tease, he got an old Cantillon RdG 750 (apparently with a 2008 cork). There were like 3 Cantillon bottles on the shelves around the store according to the employee pouring surly five samples. He also got a bramble I believe as first in line.

The OG Rare was supposedly on a shelf somewhere as well but no one that I talked to had seen it or knew of anyone finding it and I checked every shelf so maybe that's still in play for tonight's crowd. I've also heard there's some nice bourbon that could come out to play, but who knows if that's just a rumor.

would agree with the White Birch and Destihl comments above. also would suggest Crooked Stave.

Yep, most of the Crooked Stave offerings would be perfect, especially Vielle and Surette. Personally, I think the Destihl beers are a bit much for someone new to sours. I would also think Fair State's Cromulence would be a nice starter as well.

Other options on tap that might work would be the Wooden Soul series from Indeed, any other sours from Fair State and Doe Eyes from Insight.

    Anyone get that OG rare?

    RE: sours

I second Cromulence, as well as Evil Twin's stuff, especially femme fatale brett.

Unrelated note: 10/30 Zeelander still holding up?

Based on everything above - I'm guessing @mothman is now the proud owner... Still impressive for Heritage to hang onto that bottle that long and not sell nor drink it! Kudos!

I had a 10/30 Zee last night. I thought it was delish. But I must warn that I've only had this beer once before and it was the same batch, but 2 weeks ago. So take it fwiw

I was fifth in line in the morning and I never saw the OG Rare. I went back after work and was told it was found. I don't know who got it though. I don't believe it was on the Goose Island table for the evening session either, so I guess it was a shelf turd...

I'd be interested in hearing where it was. I seriously checked every shelf in that joint and moved a lot of bottles out of the way to check behind them, as I had heard in previous years that they would hide nice bottles behind not as nice bottles.

I think I spent 10 minutes moving Evil Twin bottles aside and peaking behind...

Speaking of Evil twin, Tournament Liquor in Blaine has posted the arrival of Evil Twin Molotov Heavy; 17.2% ABV DIPA.

That frightens me (I'm guessing it's an alcohol vapor bomb) ...has anyone had it?

Holy balls. I thought the Molotov SSH was strong. I'd try it, the molotov's are still frickin tasty!
