on a serious note you should contact the brewery because this is a serious QA issue for them and they more than likely are having issues with their supplier that need dealt with

^^^Thankfully the thread yielded this gem.

Otherwise, OP starts thread based on hearsay and then quietly retracts his comments later. Cool thread. The likelihood of infection/contamination in a bottle of BCBS has to be a fraction of a fraction of a percent.

I was talking with a guy a few weeks ago who had a bottle of Rare just explode overnight.

Seems like something might be up with the bottles.

When my wife finds piles of empties, my excuse will definitely be that they exploded.

There's practically zero carbonation in the bottles I've opened. No clue where the pressure would come from to make these bottles explode.

Well, this is the first year for these bottles. I'd like to see some of these images to see where the break points are. An educated guess is that it is defects in the glass. Bubbles, folds, etc.
Surprised those bottles made it through the pressures of packaging, but also. Not really. Glass is quite temperamental when it no longer wants to be stable.

So the exploding bottle variety is the rarest of this year's release?
