Is all beer always 20% off on Saturdays at Whole Foods?

 

Pretty awesome regardless. Is it all of them or just Manhattan?

 

I don't mind limits when you have limited stock and want to spread it around. But a week after the release and your sitting on cases and Im just buying 5 and 5 which is what the signs say and your cheese guy is saying nope its 5 total of both, than a day or two later you remove all limits. Use common sense.

 

Will there still be regular left on Saturday? In your opinion. I'll be near the WF Chelsea.

 

Saw about 6 cases at WF Chelsea on Tuesday. Wouldn't be surprised if people grabbed the balance at 20% off on Saturday.

 

Is this a thing? I can only find the announcement for Aug 31st on their Facebook page. Do you have a link?

 

I don't have a link but I was just at WF Chelsea and they have signs everywhere for this. 20% of all beer on Saturday.

 

They do 20% off on Saturday at Whole Foods, I believe, once a season. It's always, unfortunately, when I can't get there. They are doing it this Saturday, for sure, signs are all over the store.

Does anyone know anywhere else that there might be BCBRR? im not paying almost $30 a bottle.

 

I'm surprised there's any RR left in the city. 27.99 isn't that bad of a price in terms of in Manhattan - seems about par for the course. Lowest I saw was 24.99.

 

Interesting... I thought they were marking it up. In any case they only had 2 bottles left. Now I feel kinda shitty for not taking them lol.

 

I mean, I think that they are still marking it up, but everyone kind of was in NYC. I think I saw in this thread that some people picked it up for $22 in NJ. I got it for $25.99, and know several other places were selling it for between $25 and 31 throughout the city.

 

Plenty of regular on the shelf at Bottle Co on Kennedy in North Bergen. Seems like a cool new spot. They do growler fills there but also have a tasting bar where they pour drafts, drinks and wine. Wish I lived closer. Definitely gonna put them into my rotation of stops until they get discovered. Good sized store too. Plenty of wine and liquor. Apparently they just had BCBS on draft last week too.

 

Was at my local Key Foods earlier looking for Cloudbuster and they still had a few cases of regular left. $14.99 a pop and limit three per customer.

The cloudbuster sold out in two hours. Apparently Union only sent them one case.

This is the store on the corner of Yellowstone and Queens Blvd.

 

Whole Foods Brooklyn should have some left. Depending on where you're coming in from but has a nice big parking lot too.

 

I went there yesterday looking for Cloudbusting too but no one knew what i was talking about

 

the only guy that seems to know, or control the flow is the manager. he's a shorter fellow usually walking around the front, and when they get special releases he'll keep the cases in the front security booth, then usually put one or two cans or bottles on the beer end cap towards the front of the store.

i've seen the union rep in there a few times, but it really took him a while to understand some of the newer local brands and their popularity. i'm guessing he got the job because he's bi-lingual.

still a lot of outdated stuff on their planogram, and union seems to send them outdated local product sometimes, but they still have the best selection within walking distance. and yeah their prices are really high, but still not as bad as Erics at Mr. Vino's.

 

Some bad news for folks who want to stock up on BC at 20% off, it's completely gone at WF Tribeca and WF Bowery, Bowery does have reg and bw on tap though..

 

There was still a good amount of Regular left at WF Columbus Circle as of last night.

 

The Cannibal on E.29t st has 2012 Coffee, 2014 & 2015 reg on tap..it comes with manhattan prices thou.. $10/4oz pours..coffee tastes freakin great!
