After going to this last year all other beerfests are dead to me, bought my tickets the day they came out and now just waiting for the beer list to start getting posted. Only half of the 1k tickets left from what they have said on facebook. Anyone heard any rumors yet of who is going to be there this year?

I'm really hoping TG makes an appearance with some stouts. I have not heard that they'll be there, but it's possible since we got distro now.

You going there? Really thinking about pulling the trigger on this one. Could get a few new ticks haha.

I'm intrigued, but $100 is a lot to spend without knowing which breweries and beers will be there.

I would guess it'll be very similar to last year. The price tag is hefty, but everyone does a great job at bringing some very good beers. I had to purchase mine already to make sure they didn't run out.

Yes! I'll be there. I'm looking forward to it. You should get a ticket.

To those who went last year - is this the type of event where the most sought after kegs kick right away and People are sprinting to the priority booths?

Could end up being a mess if I go. I'll be sure to get my $100 worth of beer lol.

Just bought a ticket! This looks awesome. Heard great things about it last year, too.

Surly was out of everything they brought half way into the event (due to them pouring like 4-5 ounces per glass which was way too much), but I don't remember anything else kicking right away. It was a great time and we are going back again this year.

Had a great time last year except for the reoccurring nightmares about those fried hops. Planning on coming back.

The only thing that kicked was I believe a vintage of darkness. My girlfriend had over 6 glasses of bourbon county vanilla, while I had way more pours of 2008 bcbs then I can remember. The longest I ever stood in line was maybe 5 mins, this is worth every penny of the ticket if you have ever been to a beerfest for 25 to 30 bucks that you stand in line for 40 mins only to have the chance of drinking an ipa, a oatmeal stout, or a "rare" blueberry beer. All of the brewers we got to meet were super nice, drinking starkeller with Jace from schell brewing while talked about his family brewing history, you can't put a price on perks like that

Oh yea and every booth is priority booth!

Grabbed tickets for the gf and I on Black Friday. This will be our second year, and anyone on the fence should just do it. The price seems steep, but it blows any and every other fest out of the water, worth every penny. We walked out the door last year making plans to attend this year. Not many brew fests can create that kind of experience.

I really wish they would post full beer lists before tickets went on sale. The only thing that would get me to spend $100 on an event like this is a guarantee of rarities I've never had before. It pains me to say it, but if there was CBS, Vanilla Rye, Bramble, verticals of BCBS, Darkness, and KBS, etc, I would probably skip even though I absolutely love each and every one of those. Now on the other hand, if they're tapping Cherry Rye, OG Rare, or Mornin Delight, I'd pay double just to finally try any of them.

The line for GI BCBS Vanilla was five people at most. I had several. Best beer festival in MN easily.

or even better is getting to try a ton of beers you may have never even knew you wanted

over 100 beers, they fill your snifter(yes you get a snifter, not a sample glass) over half full every time. If you went to a craft beer bar and ordered these many beers you are looking at over 8 to 10 bucks a glass.

Screw it, got my tickets! A hotel room will definitely be in order.

Wife and I did the same thing last year, made the night more enjoyable knowing that we would just walk back to the hotel once the event was over.

Stayed at that hotel you can see from the venue. Totally worth it. Also an easy walk to the green line for going to Surly!

    Recommend to any other out-of-towners.
