Might grab a vanilla bean today then and create my own. Just split it and soak the whole bean or scrape the good stuff into the beer? this will be my first home infusion lol.

I hear from a reliable source that Colorado is out of beer...

I can attest to this (I have gotten to a code red on the wife's tolerance level for my overflowing beer closet)

Glad to hear you are doing well dude. I had heard from a reliable source that you are completely out of beer and in dire need of a box so expect to hear from me soon
    Cheers!

Am I the only one who really doesn't think that vanilla adds much to a beer???

When it is Vanilla Rye or Fundamental Observation levels of vanilla I love it, when its more subtle it seems like you can barely taste it and it just smooths out the mouthfeel some

Enjoy! I had/still have more set aside but I felt bad about not getting this out, so I packed this up in about five minutes with 1st box I saw. Another box may be on its way - unless you know someone who is out of beer...

Btw, jorts are totally a Matt thing...I've got some semblance of style and I'm aware it's not 1998.

    Cheers buddy!

Do not under any circumstances send me another box. That said, Nick texted me the other day about misplacing his entire cellar... Tragic

So split the vanilla bean drop it directly into the bottle and recap?

That Vanilla Noir was the first beer ive had with that level of vanilla in it and I loved it. Im a huge on french vanilla whether it be in my ice cream, coffee, or beer. The more the merrier if you ask me. Which begs the question, is there a beer with TOO much vanilla ?

Yep, half a bean is probably enough for a few day soaking

Vanilla is my favorite flavor in ice cream and most sweets. That being said I didn't find Vanilla BCS to be much better than regular BCS to be honest. Most other vanilla beers I have had have been good but not hugely better.

On a separate note for my own personal record keeping...just so I know for future *ninja* boxes, boxes landing on mommy's porch, and just because....if you like NG beers or your significant other does ( Belgian Red, Raspberry Tart, Serendipity, etc) please like this post. Also, if you never tried them, but would like to down the road.
    Thanks!

I found Vanilla Hunter to have too much vanilla for my taste, both when I had 4 oz at a share and (especially) when I domed an entire bottle. I typically love vanilla but I thought that one was too much.

That's odd because I thought the exact opposite. I barely got any vanilla in the vanilla hunter I had. Different palates I guess.

I'm a vanilla and coconut *****. Madagascar was a vanilla a-bomb and I loved it. As long as it's not medicinal, no such thing as too much

Just split it, put it in the bottle and recap. 18-24 hours should be enough with 1/3 of the bean.
