I'm thinking I may show up at 11. I will be bringing mules.

I am curious how Christmas Morning they made compared to BA GBS. Last weekend I showed up at 1 pm and only waited in line for about 10 mins to get bottles. If they made anywhere close to the amount of BA GBS, I think showing up at 3:30 or 4 pm shouldn't be a problem.

I've heard they made about the same of Xmas Morning as BA GBS. Unless you really need to be somewhere else at 230 or somthing, really shouldn't be a need to wait in line. I'm actually shocked they haven't upped the limits on BA GBS yet. They still have so much of it at the brewery.

Keep in mind that they started selling bottles at 11am last week and tomorrow is normal 2pm release. Still, 3:30/4 is probably about right to show up this weekend with little to no wait. I'm planning to swing by Sunday myself and assume there should be a lot of both BA and Xmas left based on pics I have seen of pallets. I figure they increased the limits on XMas morning after realizing just how much BGBS was left.

    Hardywood GBS?
    Hardywood Bourbon GBS?

    What I paid at TW -GBS = $9.99, BA GBS = $13.99.

Sure we'll get chimed in on Christmas Morning in a day or so.

Different prices across the city. Generally, GBS: $8.99-$10.49, BA GBS: $12.99-$16.99, and I think Xmas morning was between $13-$15 last year.

    I think he is asking cost at the brewery. Pretty close, if not right on. Is;
    $10.50
    $12.99
    $12.99
Pretty sure xmas morning is Barrel Series pricing.

If I got to hardywood by 11 on the 19 would I be in good shape or should I get there earlier?

You will more than likely be able to show up at 2 or 3 or later and be fine. If you're coming from NC, I understand not wanting to be shut out, but 11 will be more than fine. Make sure to stop by The Answer, their new batch of Larceny is just ridiculously good.

I plan on making the drive up on Saturday for the release. I think we are talking about leaving the Hampton Roads area around 10am. I'm glad you mentioned The Answer as now I think we will hit that up as well. I'm throwing around whether to go around and explore then show up slightly later for the release or to wait in line there and go elsewhere after getting bottles.

Mekong and The Answer are always great stops. Especially now that The Answer does crowlers. Grab a half pour or flight and get crowlers to go home.

Also, will I be able to find BBGBS and Christmas Morning while I'm in Richmond? Any other local releases I should pick up while I'm there?

Grabbed two Crowlers yesterday --- MegaBlast and Morning Juice 5. Unreal. And I could eat that Pork Meatball sandwich every meal for life and be happy.

Is Christmas Morning still available at the brewery? I will be there Saturday for Kentucky Christmas Morning

Triple Crossing will release Double Falcon Smash DIPA Sat as well. That should be an awesome beer considering how excellent Falcon Smash is. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT miss The Answer. Just picked up their Triple IPA, Megablast, that was released last week. Citra is my favorite hop and this is awesome! They do crowlers and growlers

I stopped by this afternoon around 3:30 and still has pallet of it left along with BBGBS.

I don't want to say show up later in the day and have the unlikely chance they sell out but I agree with @Shilt . If you show up at 11am for the this particular 2pm release just be prepared for a long wait. Probably at least an hour once the release opens up but since you are making such a long trip you want to guarantee bottles so play it safe as well.

Just stopped by The Answer this afternoon for a couple crowlers of Megablast! Here is their current taplist for you. I would go with the idea of enjoying multiple breweries in RVA while you are up and show up a little later at HW. I'm guessing more than enough to go around for anyone who shows up on Sat regardless of time. [IMG]

Those two beers were ridiculously good. Larceny too, for that matter. I went back for lunch today and they had Morning Juice 6 on. Mango, raspberries, and lychee. Just as good if not better. The Answer is a game changer in VA.

I ended up getting to Hardywood at about 4:15 Saturday and I think I waited behind 4 people in the bottle line. Definitely has been better than waiting in line for an hour or more like I did last year. The 19th may be different but I think I will just roll the dice and show up around 4 to 4:15 again and hope that there are still bottles available.
