After watching a show how they aged a wine
    in minutes with sonic waves
Placed a speaker next to a bottle of Chimay
& played STP, FNM & Nirvana

Long day visiting an elderly relative, so a well deserved few pints of stout when we got home at 8.30pm (no food since breakfast, oh the hardship). Then delving more into my Tempest batch with Unforgiven Red Rye - tons of beech smoke and spicy Rye malt, and In The Dark We Live black IPA - sweet rounded dark malt with fruity hops balancing and then just edging it out. Lovely stuff.

Moor Nor'Hop followed by Green Flash Imperial IPA, and you know what? Much preferred the Not'Hop, absolutely superb.

Have picked up some of the Moor output in cans and they have all been great. I know people get over excited about US IPAs (myself included) etc., but some of the output by breweries in the UK is simply amazing.

Sounds like a nice place. Don't get to the pubs much though as I have to drive everywhere living in the sticks

    Berliner Kindl
not quite as good as I remember
is it because these Aldi lines when new are pretty good then go down hill
or was I shocked to get any enjoyment out of a 1 pound supermarket LAGER

    Not with the Old Ford
but I have had a control and test Chimay
    & it did work
though with the Imp & Export stouts
    A) I can't really afford 2 &
    B) I think I can distinguish a fresh beer from an aged one, maybe, just

Tucher Christkindlesmarkt Bier - Not really my thing. Too sweet, not enough going on, too strong for the amount of flavour

Have to be careful though. Some breweries leave beers to age themselves for 6 months or so, others just release them straight away. That's why the Fullers imperial stout got so many bad reviews on release.

Spot on. Disappointed that they don't even have the Innis and Gunn Treacle Porter this year. Would of picked up a few bottles of this like last year.
