I went to my local bottle shop to drop off a Bell's 30th anniversary to the owner and friend. An low and behold I discovered my favorite local IPA Noble Citra Showers do yourself a favor and check this out before it is too late. Aworld class California style IPA.

I figured as much but that didn't stop me from posting how happy I was to see it roll around again. Very few IPA'S do I like so to run into this made my beer drinking day. An thus passed that on.

This is one of the best IPAs in Cali, fantastic beer. I grab 2 bottles every release!

Whole-heartedly agree... having almost every Showers release, I have got to say Mosaic, Galaxy and last year's Nelson have been my favorite.

Yeah, I'm sending some to my buddy back east and I only had room for either Mosaic or Citra. He picked Mosaic and I'm kind of bummed but I can probably find another bottle.

Question from an out-of-towner.. I'll be coming into town on the morning of Monday, December 28th. I'm only staying one night and then heading out. I'm hitting up Beachwood for lunch and then going to swing by Noble when it opens at 4. I'm going to likely hit a bottle shop or two in between. Is there any chance I find any Noble or Beachwood to take home with me, or am I going to be limited to enjoying their brews at the tasting room? Thanks!

Beachwood, probably not unless there was a release right before you come out. Noble, probably, those bottles stick around for a few weeks.

I'm kind of bummed I couldn't try Mosaic on tap, beer tender said they bottled the whole batch. And yeah, I did grab a bottle but still!

I dont know why I'm even posting this, but I hate the new label, ha. It looks cheap for some reason. The beer is a banger though.

Reason: poor graphic design. A weird step back from the previous one.

What's great about the series is you can really learn which hops you most prefer. They all showcase their hops nicely.

The new labels looks like somebody quickly scrambled to put together an easy piece of WordArt instead of at least the little bit of flair the typeface on the other labels had. I don't think they look nice at all, but damnit if the beer isn't great.

Beachwood is releasing their anniversary beer (#9 original Seal Beach location) this week Thursday. It will probably not last till Monday. Plus you have a much bigger problem. Beachwood is CLOSED in MONDAYS...
Noble may still have bottles of their Shower series left at the brewery. They should be open.
You have Corked near In Bixby Knolls and Stearns near LB airport. What we're looking for from Beachwood?

Had it on draft Friday afternoon... kicked about 6 pm from all the Ducks fans coming in drinking before the night game.

Oh, and it was mighty fine. Had my unfair share.

That is a HUGE problem. Thanks a bunch for the heads up. Going to switch the drive in to Tuesday. The fiance really wants to try Amalgamator. And I just want to try as much of their stuff as I can. I saw the release but assumed it would be gone by the time I get there. Thanks again for the heads up about Mondays.

THAT, my friend, is exactly the way to approach Beachwood. Cheers to you.
