Hate to say this, but I bought a single bottle of Bells Christmas this past weekend and could only get a few small sips in before draining it. I have to imagine it was a bad bottle/batch, but it was riddled with DMS notes and way too slick/buttery in the mouthfeel. It was bottled in October, so I'm not sure what happened, but knowing Bells I have to imagine this was some kind of anomaly. Super disappointing though.

tasted like coconut flavored soda. It was weird. It smells amazing, but it had a flat-cola flavor to it and resembled a beer in no way whatsoever.

Allagash Black. There was so much carbonation I thought I was drinking a fucking soda.

Shipyard Monkey Fist IPA. Was a combination of harsh bitterness, weak body, and faint diacetyl. Bailed on an overly expensive pour at the Manchester NH airport.

Habanero Sculpin 6 nights ago. I tried really hard, but 35 minutes into it, half way done, I cashed in my chips and grabbed a Sucks from the fridge. Says heat will vary. Mine lit me up.

Three different 2015 Prairie Bombs bought at different locations on three different weeks. All tasted very metallic with an almost acidic bite. If you could get past that, the sugary-peppery stout just tasted straight up stale or spoiled. I've had good Bomb, so I know something was out of whack with these. Bummer.

You finished those three by yourself?? Can't imagine anything tasting good after that!

Evil Twin's Petit Four. Their "small" biscotti break. Tasted like sewer water with burnt coffee. I generally like ET a lot and have never hated anything they've put out, but this was a complete waste of money.

I haven't had a drain pour in awhile but the last one was Ballast point Indra Kunindra....Just horrible in my opinion.

Another gullible GF Silva Stout 2015 (batch 1) buyer. I was afraid to open it and for good reason. Beer, meet drain. Not too high on this brewery after trying the "new" Alpine stuff that just hit NC. A big step down from when I traded for the real deal Alpine IPAs many years ago. Jacobins kriek met a similar end. Nowhere near as good as the rouge. Much too sweet. My drain got hammered that night.

I share your philosophy. Unless there are QC issues, I finish what I open.

Agree on this. Even though I have never tasted Pine Sol, I got the sensation that this is what Pine Sol tastes like.

I opened another bottle of Triple C The Dude Imbibes. Thought it was good on draft when it came out. I bought 6 bombers. 5 out of the 6 are badly infected. Nuff said.
