Hardywood releases

This is what I've decided to do as well. I just don't have the stomach for a multi-hour wait during which time no beer sharing is allowed. I would go insane with boredom. Hopefully the bottles last until then, but if not then it seems like I'll at least have some of the more common variants as a consolation.

 

Showing up late it is, then. Now so many of us are going to show up in the afternoon that there will be a line then as well.

 

My plan is to show up around opening, drink some draft and hang out with some people coming in from out of town. Based on every other GBS variant release (and recent releases at Hardywood for that matter), I trust Hardywood in setting limits that will spread the beer out to as many people as they can. I don't see a point in waiting in line, but I can't fault those from out of town not wanting to possibly leave empty handed. I believe these two variants will also see limited distro, much like Xmas Morning last year, when there was significantly less of that variant for its innagural year.

 

Any idea on bottle count? Seems like there should be enough Kentucky Christmas Morning for all at the brewery if it's hitting limited distro no?

I had a funny feeling that was coming after the XMas increase.

 

6 per person per variant, so you can walk away with 12 bottles for ~216 bucks?

I'm assuming prices are right at $15 per? I'm sure its already been mentioned but I just can't deal with reading right now.

 

Both AB and Kentucky are showing up under their Barrel Series Beers. If pricing follows what this series normally goes for then brewery price should be $12.99 + 5.3% tax = $13.68/bottle. Pretty sure there is also NO discount for purchasing quantity (i.e. 10% off cases) on these releases.

 

Trickery was 18, I don't see why these would be less...

 

You could be right as I do not know the true cost. Just stating off how they classify them. Reserve Series usually goes for $10.49. Barrel Series $12.99. Trickery is under their Experimental Series so those probably vary. I would probably go with your assumption, being the highest cost expected, and maybe we will be pleasantly surprised this weekend.

HW has confirmed Kentucky will hit limited distro while Apple Brandy is BREWERY ONLY.

 

Anybody know if there's any Christmas Morning available around Ricmond (TW or bottle shops)

Heard there was still a lot at the brewery still. Even BBGBS was lingering last weekend.

 

Still GBS, BBGBS, and Christmas Morning at the brewery as of 5pm yesterday.

As of 6:30pm wednesday there was 3 pallets of Christmas morning left, a ton of Bourbon GBS as well.

 

Read elsewhere that people are planning to get there at around 9-10am for the 2pm release tomorrow. Not disparaging anyone that wants to do this, but I guess I am just not on their enthusiasm level. I can't bring myself to just sit and wait 4-5 hours before the line even starts moving.

Seems like its possible this could be the gbs release they run out of early, I figured with the original lower limits it would last all day, but who knows now.
