i was in TJ's Clarendon at 2:30 for reasons unrelated to beer and they did not have it, as was expected.

 

Was down in VA on business today, stopped by Norm's as I normally do when I'm in the area. Pleasant surprise, they had bottles of Christmas Morning. The guy at the register recognized the guy in line in front of me as having been there earlier and having already grabbed a bottle, but let him buy a second any way, admitting "I probably shouldn't let you buy another one." I'm not a complainer, but that rubbed me the wrong way. Knowing you shouldn't be selling someone a second bottle, but doing it anyway? Right in front of another customer who you then tell can only buy one bottle? Something doesn't make sense. But it's all good, I got a bottle of a beer that I am stoked to try, and did so by just pure luck. So that was a good surprise for the day.

 

I called WF Clarendon and the guy on the phone said they are receiving two cases on Wednesday.

 

I'm in Central VA but have learned AB GBS and Kentucky will be seeing limited distro. Not sure if it had been mentioned in a previous post. One of my local shops has confirmed they should be receiving it next week. So....check with your shops folks. They may receiving their confirmations this week as well.

 

Yep, I know of at least one shop in Arlington that will be getting KCM next week.

 

Don't want to start rumors, but I have also noticed that limited release bottles seem to go much faster at Norm's than other places, even with 1 or 2 pp limits. Not but hurt about it, Norm's is still an incredible resource locally.

 

So you got a bottle and you're mad that a (most likely) regular got two? I confuse.

 

FYI Kentucky Christmas Morning will see "extremely limited distribution" and AB GBS is brewery only, per Hardywood

 

Jesus, if Hardywood keeps this up they will be the Taco Bell of craft brews (7 base items in different combos)

 

TW Little River Turnpike Alexandria is getting 3 cases of XMas Morning today. It wasn't in when I called at 11:20am Might have arrived by now."You are the 35th person who has called about it today."

Correct. That what I heard as well. My thought is they held by AB from distro just to make sure there is equal brewery allocation of both.

 

Stopped by a few minutes ago and they still had some in the back as the box at the growler station was (unattended &) cleaned out.

 

In the back? Like on the floor? I called a few minutes ago and they said they were out.

 

Anyone know if we're going to see any Christmas Morning in DC proper? GBS just hit last week, and it was pretty plentiful.

 

My gf went to schniders today and they didnt know when they were going to get it.

 

Had a meeting in Reston today and was able to grab 2 (that is their limit) Xmas Morning from the TJs there around 3 pm, i believe they had a case left then. I also heard the TW in McLean had some earlier today as well.

 

Well played, ipas-for-life, well played. It appears I've been burned again by the ineptitude of TW's employees.

 

We did last year. Haven't heard yet about this year.
