Continuing with my Tempestuous journey with Longer White Cloud - an amped up version of their Long White Cloud pale ale. It's a decent balance between the resinous hops and malt. Pretty much no carbonation which lets it down somewhat though, making the malt seem even heavier.

On to the Marmalade on Rye double IPA. Great intensity of the orange fruit flavours, with a good malt backbone in support. Heavy but crisp, the carbonation showing off it's importance.

Hi all! I just had a little unexpected good fortune. So cheers and this is my first black wheat beer. This is anchors winter wheat. I never expected it to be so dark. It uses more than one kind of wheat malts and it is so fragrant. Like pumpernickel bread. Pours black with a cocoa colored head of creamy foam that fell very well to a persistent ring. Hearty nose, earthy crackery malts that smell spicy. Taste is rich and breaddy. It has a slightly fuller mouthfeel than I would have wanted and was a bit sluggish on the palate because of it. Has that characteristic wheat "tartness" in the middle and the hops finish it nice and bitter to show you plenty of hearty dark bread flavors.

Warming up with a glass of 2015 BCBS on a cold-ass windy-as-hell Wednesday. Cheers!

Got done with work ridiculously early and found a place with a bunch this left so decided to crack one open...
Had it on draft a few days ago and was surprised because I hate bourbon.. Only other bourbon aged stout I had was from Anderson valley and it was a drain pour for me...but this is so balanced and smooth I love it...
    Hype sometimes pays out..

Really shitty out here in IL today. This state cant get enough rain this year my fucking god, even when it should probably be snowing already. Wish I was in New York with sunny and 60's lol.

Had this beer lastnight, but couldnt post till this morning. Lots of really tastey blueberry bourbon notes, wish i had another!

It's winter break for me. It's less than 40*F here, but it's sunny, and I have some brats and beer so I'm grilling.

Yay for excellent beer and brats!

EDIT: Holy smokes. These cajun brats were the only brats I hadn't gotten from a local meat market yet, but they have just blown me away. bratadvocate?

Lol i should post this in the thread "do you ever drink BEFORE work?". Hell of a before work beer for sure, good thing I don't do anything too serious for a living.

Dug into the stash for one I haven't had in a while. A lot of floaties aside, it's still nicely carbed and tasting like bourbon flavored candy. Almost like there's maple syrup in it! A great beer on a crazy weather day sporting clouds, sun, rain and wind. At least no snow yet......
